Two kinds of people: -spending 120$ on wheels without hub or center ring, "but they are licensed and from Vanquish" -buying 4 wheels with hubs and center rings for 30$ on Aliexpress, just the white letters are missing Same with capra axles: -xtra speed/ kyx:
@TheRCNetwork4 жыл бұрын
Back when this video was made, there wasn't too many options like today, especially for exact duplicate wheels (minus the lettering). I recently priced these exact wheels on VP's site and after tax and shipping (hardware and SLW's) the price was $196 for a set of 4. I have recently bought 4 sets of eBay wheels (I DON'T trust Aliexpress, BangGood or GearBest) - including all hardware, SLW's, etc for about $35-$40 a set. AND they're metric! Times have changed - I value VP's quality, engineering and licensing, but the pricing is ridiculous in comparison. VP does set out to improve a part - engineering wise and they do test it for months. Many of these off-shoot companies either make duplicate aluminum/brass parts (Xerox of the plastic). I still have these wheels, but sold the truck off - the one thing good about VP is you do not lose value, ever - I got right about what I paid for it

The RCNetwork This body is 1/10 scale the SCX-10 II is more like 1/9 scale The Axles are too wide Yota axles only just fit under it & yes you need to put 1.55 wheel & tyre combo on it if you won't the scale looks it is such a shame that this body was made in 1/9 scale to fit the SCX-10 chassis better Looking forward to seeing what body you put on it 👍🏻👍
@TheRCNetwork7 жыл бұрын
Mat K it's advertised to fit the SCX10/ii and the TF2 LWB. When this was ordered there was no existing info other than the photos on KB's website. Running 1.55's looks great for scale, but I'm going more for performance and running 1.9's with decent tires is a must.

@TheRCNetwork6 жыл бұрын
TheAlonzof in stock formation, you can prove together a front driveshaft from MIP. The issue on the rear side of the transmission is the clearance. MIP would have to completely redesign a output to fit. No current MIP output will fit....I tried! Sticking with the stock is the only option as of now. All the other offerings are in my opinion a downgrade.

The RCNetwork, have you seen the MIP driveshaft for the TRX 4? I bought some of those for my new Bronco TRX4 and they are vastly different in design. They don’t have the large cupped ends. I bet that will work. Is it the clearance at the skid plate you have issues with?

I'm okay with the fact that you use high quality products, but saying "you can't beat proline" or "you can't beat vanquish" is, firstly, only your opinion, and secondly, there's is so much other manufacturers that provides high quality products for much cheaper than the ones you use ! So don't crap on the rest of the world because you think paying almost 200$ for 4 rims makes a rig better than another that has 50$ wheels, even if the quality is the same ! Thanks !!!
@TheRCNetwork7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for commenting. "you can't beat...." yes is my opinion on my "free to watch" video. I don't think I ever "crapped" on another brand by making my statements in this video. Lastly, the VP wheels I showed in this video are $59 for 2 (quick math: $120 for 4) so not nearly you're quoted $200. I also never said that these were better than cheaper alternatives, although I do think they look better and are actually licensed replicas. The importance of the hobby is to have fun - and this is my fun: wrenching on my RC's and showing it through video.
@metalmac7 жыл бұрын
The RCNetwork I actually live in Europe and it's absolutely impossible to find any beadlocks from vanquish for under 90$ here (and I don't count the taxes added to it and the shipping). I'm not crapping on your video, of course it's free to watch and of course I'm not forced to see it... I just don't agree with the fact that VP and Proline are the best (they are great don't misunderstand me) but that's my opinion. Finally, I agree that the thing with RC is to have fun, there's no doubt about that. That being said, wish you the best for the future !

@TheRCNetwork6 жыл бұрын
paul edwards you haven’t offended me, but you don’t realize (like many viewers) that’s there’s a person here. I make these videos as a hobby. No one pays me. Whether you think it’s an “add” it’s not....many people were curious on a different shock mount for the rear and mirroring the trans. This was a personal build I put a lot of time and effort into it, and thought sharing it on KZbin was the next step. And yes, you do have a choice on what you view - happy new year...
@pauledwards77396 жыл бұрын
l didn't realize, thanks for clearing that up. You do things with passion and we all like that. Your Proline reviews are spot on and have been very helpful. Sorry for coming across a bit off in the first comment. It's almost to easy to comment sometimes. We have done the Mirror and flip on our first gen SCX10's. Then moved the tranny across a little which lines up the drive shafts perfectly straight. This allows the ability to lay the battery down nice and low beside the transmission in the belly of the chassis. A big win all round, lower centre of gravity by a long way, much smother and importantly efficient operation in the drive line, just like the HPI Venture. The running of the truck in this layout is so so much better, night and day difference. Cheers
