I am buying a kit similar to this but I agree with some of the others. It's worth it to me to pull seats and run all of the wirings under the carpet. Also, I am not a fan of the fact that the passenger side strip can be seen so easily. I would have moved it further back to be hidden like the driver's side.

It looks like the 12V plug doesnt have usb ports in case you need to charge your phone or have other electronics. I found it funny how you glossed over the plug really fast and mentioned that you had 3 ports in the truck as if most people do. Looks like an ok kit but there are other kits that offer 2 USB ports so you dont lose your only 12V source if you only have 1. A kinda important detail.

I bought the lights which have a usb connection so that I could share it with charging my phone. Lol the lights are nowhere near bright can’t even see them under the footwell. Waste of time. Best to get a professional job done or if you can yourself wire it up to the fuse box.

This looks very similar to the kit I got off eBay. Only thing is my kit doesn’t have a physical button or an app to control it on my phone but it did come with a wireless remote. And I’m glad it was only powered by a USB port instead of a cigarette lighter. This still looks sick though. I mainly wanted a USB powered light kit because I have a Toyota Camry and I don’t have rear USB ports or cigarette lighters so I tucked away most of the wiring and have it plugged into one of the two center console USB ports.

Yes bro, get you some 16 gauge wire, a spst switch, and some wire connectors, the spst switch will have 3 or 2 prongs depending on the switch you want. I got the 3 prongs, 1 is for ground, another for power and the 3rd one for the positive wire on your lights then hook up your ground wire on your lights to ground.
