I had a 5.0.1 gpe (XT1032, Moto G 1st Gen) and rooted (rooted using CF-root) and I've been tying to update to 5.1 gpe with the OTA (as I received the OTA), but failed... then I tried to update to 5.1 gpe using ADB but failed with code 7... but then I followed your tutorial (step by step) and finally I was able to update to 5.1 gpe successfully!!! Thank you very much!!!

I first had to say thanks, you put a lot of work in research and stuff but... My humble sugestions: sincerely talking is not your strong point so consider doing your videos only with anotations and text, well only if you are willing to do more videos. keep a description with a short explanation of each steps in the tutorial and a time link, and put a label on top of the video that show what step you're performing at each time. then follow your instructions would be super easy and your views will increase excuse me if i was a little rough on my critic and keep at the good work!!!

Awesome tutorial. Worked like a charm on my xt1032. I'm facing a single slight issue, though. While my screen is set to adaptive brightness, it flickers when set anywhere between 0 to about 20 percent brightness. It also does when going ambient, right before turning off, regardless if adaptive brighness is set or not. It was fine in Moto 5.0.2, any idea how to fix it? Thanks a lot!

My Moto G XT1033 has some issues. After moto animation screen it goes to blank screen. I tried your idea,but after Android to GPE batch installation, it reboots, moto logo appears and goes again to blank screen. And also I tried 2nd step it shows "you need adb 1.0.32 or newer to sideload to this device" but I tried "adb version" cmd. adb version is 1.0.32 only. Can you help me out

I saw a "Root" folder into the "Stock Android to GPe" folder... and there is a executable file there "root-windows.bat"... (I remember I rooted mu 5.0.1 gpe using this method and it worked, but then I was not able to update from 5.0.1 to 5.1 using the OTA...)
