I installed a power pole this morning, what you pointed at are 4 bolts with metal/rubber washers and nuts. 40ft/lbs is fine, just make sure the pole doesn’t move when you try to push it side to side as part of your check. The main concern is 80 ft lbs at the bracket… hope that helps

When you go to drill with the actual 3/4" hole saw ...is it a metal hole saw bit ? And also .... Do you run the hole saw blade In reverse as well like you did the smaller drill bit ? Thanks !

Yes sir, I used a bi-metal hole saw, works great…and yepper, I go in reverse just to get through gel coat, and then pop it in forward…hope that helps!

Hi Patrick. Very good video. Makes me confident that I can work on mine if I have an issue. On commet I'll make is mine are connected to the on off main switch and I have a relay in line? Yours must be an updated version from mine in 2018? Also if I have to drill into the glass I will put some painters tape,masking tape or duck tape to prevent cracking of the gelcoat. Thanks Chris, I appreciate that!…yea mine didn’t come with any kind of relay, just the inline fuse…I can’t remember if my last set of Blades on my old boat had a relay…and yea the tape method when drilling through the glass is a good option as well, it’s a nice way to make sure ya don’t get any cracking!…thanks for watching the video!

How long are the screws that mount the pump brackets to the boat ? I'm ordering HDPE as well and am trying to figure out what thickness to order so that the screws don't go all the way through the HDPE. Thanks !

If I remember correctly they are 1 inch screws, I’d have to take one out and measure it to be 100% sure but I’m almost positive that’s what they were…hope that helps!
