Great material! Really helpful. Quick question: at 13:36 we assign worker nodes to offer their disks for the storage system (0.5TB), but the worker nodes may have multiple disks assigned with different size etc. How this is chosen by the OCP? All disks regardless the size will be allocated to ODF from those worker nodes? I would expect that user could choose (like in vSAN or CEPH)

Hi, In this Demo Environment, OpenShift running on a VMware vSphere platform with Nimble Shared Storage, the general principles remain the same in terms of storage allocation. 1. Worker Nodes with Multiple Disks: If our worker nodes have multiple disks with different sizes, the allocation of storage for applications would indeed depend on how the Storage Classes are configured. 2. Storage Classes Configuration: In OpenShift, administrators define Storage Classes, which are used by users or applications when creating Persistent Volume Claims (PVCs). Storage Classes can specify various parameters, including disk type, performance characteristics, and size. 3. User Requests via PVCs: When users or applications create PVCs, they can specify the desired Storage Class and the required size. OpenShift, in coordination with the underlying storage system (Nimble Shared Storage in this case), will attempt to fulfil the request based on the available resources and configurations. 4. Dynamic Provisioning: If dynamic provisioning is configured for the storage class, OpenShift will automatically create and bind a Persistent Volume (PV) to satisfy the PVC request. The underlying storage system, Nimble Shared Storage in our case, will handle the details of allocating space from the available disks. 5. Manual Provisioning: Alternatively, if dynamic provisioning is not enabled, administrators can manually create PVs that map to specific disks on the worker nodes, and users can then create PVCs that specifically target those manually provisioned PVs.

Excellent video, it worked for me once, but in another Openshift installation, I don't see the 'Refresh web console' link, so I don't get the wizard with the 4 steps "1 Backing storage, 2 Capacity and nodes, 3 Security and network, 4 review and create". Do you know how to solve this problem? I already tried uninstalling Data Foundation and reinstalling it, but the link only appears during the uninstallation.

Following this guide from the beginning I have a fully functional cluster as it seems to me, however there are some failed pods named (vmware-vsphere-csi-driver-controller) & (vsphere-cloud-controller-manager), their status is "Not Configured".
