How to install/replace a Mogul 3-Way light socket in a floor lamp

Thanks for taking us all the way through with all the missteps. It gives me confidence that I will be able to do this too if I just keep going and don't get discouraged. Liked the new bulb options, too. I am repairing the Mogul 6-way lamp my great aunt gave me 30 years ago!

6 way, never seem one of those! Must be pretty cool. I like the old stuff. Has way more character than the current crap sold today.
