This dude's beard is on point. Just bought the same rooftop carrier. Easy install, but I added a little piece of cloth between the metal hooks and the metal on the door to keep it from scratching. We'll see how the carrier works.

Thanks for posting this video. Very informative! The bag size is 43x33x15 which with simple calculation is equivalent to 12 cubic foot. This is different then the advertised 15 cub foot by the manufacture. Can you confirm the bag dimensions please?

My pleasure. Yes they hook to the inner door then when you put the rubber back in it seals it and then when you close the door. They become even more secure.

Well water did leak into car when it rained sometimes but it was because I let the straps inside the car when I put the window up. But then I made sure the straps were out side the car I never got any leaks. Try to tighten the rubber that covers the hooks a lil better.

Yes door gasket goes back in for me. Mine has like some type of glue. Maybe that’s why it was nice and tight. But if anything you can always just give it a little pressure by pushing it in with your hands. It stayed tight even after removing the storage.

I was worried about those things also but in reality not a lot of thieves are on the lookout for those things and if you have tinted windows they will think twice about stealing anything.

There was some flapping with the straps. But I found a way to tie it to keep the straps from flapping. So basically if you tie the straps right there shouldn’t be any sound.

I wouldn’t suggest it. It will definitely hurt the weather tech. Because that’s the same spot of the car where you would place the straps to tie down the cargo bag.

Mine did not bring a lock but you can purchase one. But trust me I was traveling the whole 50 states in the pandemic. With it on top of my car. In the worst areas and Walmart parking lots in high crime areas and nothing happen. I was sleeping in my car thou so maybe that kept them away overnight. But even when I parked in the street nothing ever happen to it. Thieves aren’t looking to break into cargo bags I guess 😂 they prefer the car. Where the real valuable items are. Check out my travel videos also. You see the cargo bag everywhere 😂

Yes because the loops are secured inside the rubber on the border of the car window.

Yes I think is secure enough. But driving more than 80 mph is illegal in most states. So be careful and drive safe.

Just ordered this on Amazon. so I do not have a roof rack but the 2020 Honda CRV has a roof railing. I was in the process of ordering the roof rack but wont have it in time. Looks kinda weird to be taking back the door molding just to hook it on the side door. is that gonna damage the rubber molding when you pull it back? not even sure if my SUV has that ability. There is gotta be a way to mount it without the roof rack, right??

This is for vehicles with racks and without racks. The only difference is that if you have a roof rack you strap it to the rack. If you don’t have a roof rack then you do it with the window. It didn’t damage my rubber and I have a 2 door camaro. So I’m sure it will be way better for your CRV. 😊 👍🏽

Yea but it has a glue that goes back to normal when you apply pressure. And when you take it off it goes back to normal. For my car it didn’t damage the molding or anything.

No issues at all driving with snow or the rain. Just make sure straps are always outside of the window. One time I accidentally didn’t notice it was inside the car and I went to sleep. It rained all night and the straps leaked a lot of water in the car. That was my fault thou. Not the cargo bag.

It makes sense that is not for cars without window frames. Since that’s what it straps to 😂 but I drove car multiple times with window down. Never shattered my window or close to that. I traveled the whole country with that cargo bag for 8 months. Everything still fine. But if you don’t think is a useful cargo bag you can go with other options.
