I've never recorded the measurement of the thread pitch. If you don't mind me asking, why do you need it? -Landan

I had a question the instructions I received from Ford for this have some additional instructions that involve rerouting a sensor and disconnecting the battery. Do I need to do that step or not?
@latemodelrestoration Жыл бұрын
Michael - It never hurts to disconnect the negative battery cable for a piece of mind when disconnecting and connecting electrical connections. I'm not sure about the sensor rerouting. I just scanned the Ford instructions again and didn't see anything about this. Follow what we show in the video, and you'll be good to go. -Landan

@@latemodelrestoration Michael is right. The instructions have additional pages that show rerouting a sensor. You should call ford and update your video. I'm not sure what this does, but if Ford has it in the instructions, it is necessary. Thanks.

So basically it doesn’t require you to drain it every so often? It selfs drain from what I’m seeing ?
@latemodelrestoration Жыл бұрын
Correct. The oil drains back into the valve cover once collected in the canister. -Landan

Hi Vic, this oil separator will only fit 2020-2021 GT500's. For other oil separators, you will have check out our other options on our site: lmr.com/products/2015-Mustang-Oil-Separators

@@latemodelrestoration I have the gt500 alum cam cover, it states in the video it fits with some modifications
@latemodelrestoration2 жыл бұрын
Hi Vic, I had read your comment incorrect. Very sorry about that! Since you have the GT500 aluminum valve cover on your GT, the install will require modifications of the provided hoses for fitment on 2011-2019 Mustang and Shelby GT350 engines. Other than that, it will fit.

Hey LMR, Is there a special reason to replace the PVC (blue) valve with the black one?
@latemodelrestoration3 жыл бұрын
Hey Scott, Ford recommends doing so when installing the oil separator. We decided to follow their instructions, even though this GT500 is still practically brand new.

Why doesnt Ford just supply this already installed? Seems like it's something that may be out of your typical owners' skill level to do.
