No but I can tell you that you should never grout in corners, so you'll always see me using only silicone. We use color matched silicone to match the color of the grout. You hould never grout any change of plane only silicone.

Only the front of these doors are mirrored, the backs of the mirrors are not mirrored, they are some material designed to protect it. Both doors come mirrored.

Mr Jeff my door opening H it is 80 in h even and I have a 80 inch H door what should I do to fit

Just because you have an 80 inch door does not mean that it's 80 inches so a lot of times it could be 79 inches or 79 1/2 inches. So you need to pull up the spec sheet for that door and look at the exact dimensions and if it's 79 1/2 inches you are probably going to be OK. But if it truly is an 80 inch door the only way you'll get that door to fit in there is you will have to chisel away at the top of that sofit and maybe raise it up in inch or two that would require a little bit of construction engineering I've had to do that in the past. I once had a closet door that was too tall, and I had to build the soffit down from the ceiling to meet the height of the door that I was installing.

No you cannot cut down the glass at all this is usually a tempered glass and it does not meant to be cut only once at the factory

Great idea! That's a huge opening, and I think too much complexity that will lead to trouble down the road. At Home Depot, biggest slider set they have is 48" opening for mirror doors, but some other smaller glass panel doors can go to 72". Lowes has mirror doors to accommodate a 72" opening max, but $600! You my have to go custom route.

I don't see how they could be banned because otherwise the mirrors would have cracked. Yeast. But supposing they are warped out of shape then you would have to get new ones because this type of system that's designed for them to be straight and parallel to each other. Check your wheels on the bottom and make sure they are contacting the right part of the track it could be your just alignment is off

Bought a pair of used doors, to replace bifold. Need just the hardware. Picked up a set @ Home Depot, but it just has a bottom bracket, not a track…. Also, these doors are an inch shorter than the bifolds we took out, will there be adjustable “forgiveness”? Yikes.😕

Yes, you can raise and lower them by adjusting the wheels at the bottom with a set screw for adjusting the height. The top track is thick enough so that even if you have to lower the door a lot, the track will still hide the top of the door.

If you are going into would the top track and bottom tracks can be screwed in would just a simple 1" Pan head threaded screw. Don't use a regular bugle top would screw because those bugle tops will stick up too far in the door will snag on them. It usually depends on the size hole they give you but I'm number 8 or number 10 , 1" Pan head screw will be just fine

I created a problem for myself when I bought my replacement door with the correct height and width but WRONG size of the Bottom Rail. When I removed the original closet door which was just like this one in the video in order to put a new one in I discovered that the old door had a wider bottom rail by about an inch and a half over the new one. The new narrower rail exposed the gap between the closet and the room since I had no carpet going under the bottom rail extending from my room to the closet. The original rail was wider and was neatly covering the subfloor , but the new one wasn;t due to being over an inch narrower. This left me with about an inch and a half of exposed subfloor which looks unsightly. I was in a hurry and got my replacement door 15 min before store closing and now have to correct that by dedicating another day just to return it and then special order a new one since they don;t have it in stock. Be mindful of that when replacing with new.

May I ask how you removed your door? The plastic hooks/guides on the bottom seem to be preventing me from lifting my doors out of the tracks. And it's driving me crazy! Is there a way to compress the hooks so that they slide out of the grooves?

Sliding doors may be different than bi-fold doors , depending on what you have it may be a little different. I would type in "Adjust / remove bi-fold closet doors" and you will likely see many videos which address this issue. That is what I did . Gl.

The best way to remove them off the track is you have to get inside the closet down on your knees and unscrew loosen the wheels and the wheels have to rise up in order to swing the door up and out

Spacer needed under bottom track 100%, especially with such heavy doors. Also music is just noise that does not help at all. Otherwise thanks for making this video as heavy mirror sliding doors are challenge to install with crooked walls etc. Also wondering about those guides on each side of each bottom wheel, are they needed hard push to go into the bottom truck with each wheel? Also probably flat head Tapcon screws would be better for bottom track fastening to a concrete floor imo.

I believe the guides just fit around the track to steady it while the wheel rolls. BTW, we did use flat top Tapcons, as far as I know, all Tapcons have flat tops.

Very poor installation of the bottom track! It should not straddle the gap between the tile and closet wood floor. That air gap should be filled with a length of plywood for the new floor track to sit on... which will prevent the metal floor track from flexing, bending, shifting, and so on. Poor judgement on that aspect.

It was installed per the manufacturer's instructions, and was nice and rigid with no shims needed underneath. The door loads are not over that air gap in case you failed to notice, the door loads are over reinforced metal structure on the bottom of the track. Perhaps you are thinking of older or use use inferior designs that need shimming, but this track is well supported underneath right where the vertical load of both doors is. If you stop using cheap door tracks, you won't be subject to all the flexing you are referring to, hence you won't have to criticize those of use doing it right with proper materials..
