There are many ways to install Solar, but this way allows you to reposition them any time if you change your mind or have an upgrade.
In todays video we add the solar panel and then the Maxxair fan providing some free power and ventilation to the cab area.

"Travel with Gary and Amika"
Welcome to the Official Travel with Gary and Amika KZbin Channel, a father daughter combo capturing campervan style travel vlogs in and around the mountains, beaches, campsites and wild camping fully off grid.
Gary is dedicated to his daughters future and enjoys documenting her passion for life, which is apparent through Amikas constant giggling and smiles. He is well travelled having visited some 39 countries, however this quickly became difficult to continue when Amika was born. With his love for travel he wasnt going to let being a single father tie him down. When Amika was just 5 they jumped on a plane and backpacked around Romania and have since visited France and Spain twice exploring the Pyrenees mountain range.
In January 2022 Gary bought on old builders van and converted into a fully off grid tiny home on wheels with the aim of getting out and about as much as possible to see more of the world. KZbin seemed the perfect way to documented these travels and to take a step into the world of becoming a digital nomad.
Gary and Amika both thank you for being here and hope that through their videos they can bring you a sense of adventure, a lots of laughter and with a clear message that you should never grow up and never take life too seriously!

Looking good Gary, just a quick point. Don’t lean or put any pressure on your solar panel. The silicon cells are extremely brittle. ❤

love that roof fan, Gary and great to see you getting so far along with the van. Its deffo making me think on going for a bigger van when funds allow. You did a great job but owch! on the surround. Great work. OK you forgot to clear the floor but so what at least you have fitted it, as you said you can fill that tear with something. I've got 2 door handles to fit and I'm scared to do them because I know through past experience something will go wrong lol xx

You’re really cracking on with it now solar and maxxfan! I’m really impressed how well you’re managing by yourself as some things are tricky like getting the panel onto the roof and getting tools and things on and off the roof. Pleased everything got as it should and spotted the double checking of measurements too which often saves the day for me 😀 All the best, David & Rachel 👍

That panel was tough David, a few things have been but the most challenging thing so far was the ceiling, 3 person job haha. Haha, yes I did that many times. A bit of wood can be redone. The roof!!! Imagine!!! Still need to catch up soon, will let me know when I'm free 😂 Hope you both ahd a great time in the lakes 👍❤️
