Good video but it only showed the easy part to install the door speaker, still not clear on the tweeter part, can you please explain the tweeter installation with a crossover in more details? How is the crossover installed and how to run the wires to the door speakers?

The tweeter plug up the top is the wiring to the door speaker, you wire your cross over to it. Your cross over should come with wiring diagram to show you which goes to woofer and tweeter. No need to show this part.

I'm just trying to figure out how to replace the stock speakers in my 86 but what I read said crossovers are for use with aftermarket amps. What type of crossover do I need if just replacing the speakers and tweeters? I also thought it would've been useful to have the crossover wiring explained :( but any help to point me in the right direction on how to figure this all out would be great, thanks 😞

Really like your videos and your products. Just bought a Toyota GT86 here in the UK and looking to upgrade the awful original sound system. Shame you don't send to the UK as I would like to buy the Speaker Adapter & SoundSkins kit, Tweeter Mounting Kit, Stereo Harness and the Sound Deadening Kit. It would make installing everything myself so much easier :(

Is the tweeter wiring the same with the 8 speaker system with the factory amp in the back powering the door speakers?

I cannot confirm we haven't tested a factory amped system yet.

I bought the tweeter adapter and found that soldering the ends of the ends together allows all speakers to work with the factory wires. love the door adapters and foam rings as well.

Using our kit? Seems odd that both sides wouldn't work? I would suggest checking your wiring from the head unit if you have changed this?
