This kzbin.infoUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo unit was an easy install and turned out amazing. The dimensions were exact! I took a chance and built the wall prior to receiving the unit which arrived sooner than expected and it fit right in the space I constructed. The heat output is perfect for the space we needed and made the room exactly how we envisioned it to turn out. I am happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thank you for the awesome product just in time for the holidays.

Looks good, great job with framing! The only difference i would make is to use pre-made corner pieces instead of cutting the stacked stone at 45 degrees. The corner pieces give a cleaner look without any gaps on the corners. Most manufactures offer these, but if you cant find them then cut your corner pieces at 43-44 degrees instead of 45 degrees so the very edges butt up against each other tighter giving a much better finish.

Actually, 46-47 deg. would be going in the wrong direction. You want to cute a slightly more accute angle than your measurement. I.e 90 deg. / 2 = 45 deg. so cut 44 deg. (x2 = 88 deg.). That way when you open up the cut to a wider angle the front edges close and you have a slight gap in the back. If you cut 46-47 deg. (i.e 92-94 deg.), you'll never get the front edges to close and sit parallel or flat against the wall....it will rock on the corner.
@PaulyDownUnder
@PaulyDownUnder Жыл бұрын
@@revelation12ministries51 Yes, you're are correct, an angle of less than 45 degrees is ideal. I will correct it!

He used a ledger board (straightest material you can find) in this case he used a base board trim piece. He leveled the trim piece and screw it to the cement board. This process keeps upper row leveled and keeps it from gravity pushing the upper row down. After 30-60 minutes of completing upper level, mortar should be close to drying up and stable enough to work on lower level without upper sliding down.
