oday we have a cub cadet zero turn with a kawasaki v-twin motor and we're gonna be changing the starter on it which we have brand new starter right here with the milwaukee fuel insanely cool cars tool reviews and auto repair videos
this is the sixth repair we've done with this milwaukee fuel on the same battery it's a 5 amp hour battery we still have three dots on the charge this is a kawasaki 22 horsepower which is 726 cc's and we're going to get the starter right off of here
now if you've not watched my videos before i need to tell you don't do anything you see me doing my videos and don't even do anything you hear me talk about my videos
you could end up burnt bruising or bleeding just like me
now this originally had a problem with the engine turning slowly and it turned out that the pieces on the top of the starter were gone i don't know where they went. I took all the covers off and everything and they were just gone so i had this old starter that i used to confirm that it could start up the engine. which it did but it makes a noise so i still needed to put a new starter in here which we have right here of course I ordered it off the internet and i will put a link in the description to both the milwaukee fuel which i'm incredibly pleased with very happy about so nice to be off of that air hose and has served me very very well

what is that oh that's one of those little keeps things dry packets I love to collect these in my toolbox drawers to help keep my tools dry
well now i like taking the
starter wire and just go ahead and hook it up on there before putting it down here because then that's one less thing i have to do
but i also like doing it because then i don't have to reach way down in there to connect it up and get both hands around it really well all right i'm going to need these
all right and i forgot something here we need loctite there we go these new bottles of loctite where they have this thing where you got to pull it out before you get any loctite out of it it helps sometimes to to turn it up while it's still open and let that stuff run down in there before closing it otherwise see it pushes some out the top or you can anticipate if you got more than one bolt the last bolt don't put your loctite on it yet until you push down on that and then put that excess on the last bolt
make sure you get two or three full turns on the bolts before you go after them with the milwaukee fuel because it is certainly certainly more than powerful enough to ruin things or break things i mean it's got a lot of power
and i'm putting upward pressure on the starter to make sure that the lip of the starter is down in the hole correctly part of the reason is because on these kawasaki engines this protrusion out here is part of the part of the engi

ummm yea.... If i ever catch anyone in our shop putting on regular nuts bolts with a 1/2" impact, imma beat the brakes outta you.... There's a reason we use a 3/8" drive for most stuff. 1/2" is for lug nuts, not regular fasteners.
