I like your lift table. Mowers are not the easiest thing to work on - glad you got it fixed up. It will make someone a good little mower and the steering wheel models really hold the hills and slopes compared to the sticks.

Hmm I don't think I have ever seen a steering wheel on one of these. Fixing the transmission seems like a big project to me. You are one talented man for sure. Thanks for the videos.

$200 bucks, nice. I'm the same way, go in the house, grab something to eat and sometimes a lightbulb goes off and I'll drop what I'm eating and get back out to the garage.

I am very interested in what the parts cost and how many chargeable hours it would have cost one of your customers. For a contrast, I just bought a 314 Wheel Horse that is identical to the 400 series machine because of the heavy Kohler. Absolutely like new with just a few scratches on the decals. The deck is a bit worn, but still serviceable as they are made of decent steel. I have been buying them for a while and now is a low in the market because people are struggling with high fuel and food prices. Auto trans on old Wheel Horses are commercial grade hydraulic motors and are readily available in the uses parts market. Congratulations to you on having the talent to put it all back to a functional machine. Way above my patience and ability to do so

As far as transaxle, I advise customers to buy a new one about $1000 installed. If I would rebuild for a customer, it would be $300 in parts and 5-6 hours labor. It would end up around $800 for a rebuilt one.

Hey Bob, I have been watching your videos for a few years now and enjoy them very much. I have a question that I hope you can answer, I have watched your zero turn transmission vids many times over before i attempted this chore (like the one where you sanded and honed down the surfaces of the trans center, motor and pump assemblies). Anyhow I have a Cub Cadet rtx-s with the steering wheel and I'mhaving left side trans problems ( i sanded and honed the pump and motor and center assmebly) and there was very minimal groves but sanded since I had the trans out, After reinstalling trans, and purging trans. The left side is still acting up, both sides seem very strong, but when driving the left side will kind of lock up sometimes completely and sometimes just like brakes are on it and moves slowly. This happens sometimes going in a straight line and sometimes while turning, it doesn't do on a regular bases. This can happen in 20 feet or at 100 feet with no rhyme no reason.Ihope you have an answer for me of what them problem may be, because other than that I about to remove trans again and start the process again. The only thing that I can think of is the center section and motor were had to get in and may the center section might have gotten scratched. Any way looking for advice. Thanks again Mark

I just bought an old exmark and the steering is very slow to engage and whiny. There's a bunch of slop in the steering where minor adjustments on the levers don't seem to be recognized and when I push forward more it finally recognizes and jerks forward. What would cause this? Does not appear to have any leaks and fluid is at the right level. Tracking is way off as well but should be a separate issue. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

Isn't that typical for a Kawasaki engine to break their engine cover? I'm sure you didn't loose money your labor is free.
