I have succesfully installed it, but now there is no app, sunmi appstore only shows bernobox when i close the app it automatically keeps coming back. how can i fix it and load a alternative app store on it.

As mentioned in the video, to load an alternative App Store, you need a USB C to USB A Converter cable. With the Custom Firmware, it has allowed installing any app, from a USB, so you can find the APK online then put it to USB then plug it in via the converter. The reason why Bernobox is there is because, not everyone follows the rules, and installs MDM Serial locking solutions which affect everyone, so with Bernobox being there, they cannot install anything like it.

I’m a bit confused by the video. I have two issues - firstly when I get to the flash tool download and format it just times out. Then on the video itself, once you get the download ok pop up I can’t actually work out what you do next to get the device working.

A lot of people have followed the video with success. where I skip to the part of download ok, is because it takes roughly around 15 minutes to flash. When connecting to computer make sure your Sunmi is powered off. Then while preparing to plug in hold the volume down and power button while plugging in. After that you should see bottom bar making progress. After Download ok, just power on the device and setup like normal. It may ask for BemoBox, but just skip it, you can download anything.

Thanks for your help. The machine is now unlocked but (and forgive me if this is a daft question) but how do I now get the happy mod onto the printer. I connected it, set to file transfer but whichever folder I copy it into I can’t find it in the sunmi machine 😮

@@mattyoung9607 yes the reason for this is because, Sunmi have blocked side loading. So the way to bypass this is to use a USB A to USB C dongle and put the all on the flash drive and install this way

I've read the warnings you put on the google drive. So if the sunmi v2 is from deliveroo, even by changing to a different sunmi v2 os it will not let google play stay on the phone ?

no it will not. Even if you buy a Sunmi V2 from Sunmi themselves, like a stock unit, it will never come with Google Play. This only stops the Deliveroo software from popping up. At the moment BernoBox, has been configured as an auto download, this way it skips any deliveroo blocks. Best thing is to install alternatives like instead of Play Store, you can put Aptotide or HappyMOD. And instead of Chrome you can put FireFox or other browsers. Nothing from Googles Services will work, specifically Chrome, KZbin, Google Play, Google Photos. Others will work.

@@nidulaperera ok so if I understand correctly, no matter the v2 model, the sunmi os is the culprit blocking the use of google apps on the phone, letting them install themselves at least but auto-deleting them some time after (mostly after opening it) ? Does that mean for like the play store to work, the sunmi v2 would need to have something else than the sunmi os (for exemple a classic Android 7.1.1 stock) to work ?

You need to use a USB A to USB C converter. I haven’t shown it in video as many people have different methods. Also Google Services will never work. Yes there is Beenobox, however that is due to the original serial number we were using being bricked, and with one MDM solution installed no one else cannot install one, making it safe for everyone.

@@iainsandison5795 you can add your own independent order accepting system, just make sure it doesn’t lock anything to the serial number, because if it does it will brick everyone’s Sunmi V2. As long it isn’t something serial number based MDM solution it should be fine.

Like mentioned in the read me and in the video, Sunmi have hard coded for Play Store to be blocked, actually all Google services have been blocked, so it’s a miracle to even have Chrome. Download an alternative browser like FireFox and an alternative store like HappyMod or Aptotide

Hi, I followed the whole procedure but in the sp flash tool program it doesn't load anything and it remains at 0% with error status download exception (0xC0050003) I disconnected the device from the computer, turned it on and it tells me that the system is corrupt and asks me for an unlock password, what should I do?

Hi there, for this unfortunately it’s a really rare issue. Another developer has heard of this issue, and it’s basically a hardware lock. This was mostly done by the previous owner. Basically if you try and flash it in any way, the hardware lock goes off and corrupts the system asking for the owner to enter a passcode. There isn’t much to do, other than to buy or source out another Sunmi V2.

@@ali1995sa Hi there I wanted to mention, I did check, however I think the Sunmi V2 SE is a newer version of the Sunmi V2. You can try if you want but if it fails it could possibly brick the Sunmi. So if you are okay with the risk, you can go ahead and try, but if you only have one Sunmi, then it is recommended that you don’t.

Hi there. Another user was having the same issue. If possible could you try these steps: the lines appearing on the screen is the GPU failing. It is generally due to a very heavily used Sunmi V2 Unit. To try and boot into pheonix recovery. It’s a built in program which can be booted into by holding the power and volume down button. It should say pheonix recovery. If it boots into that then you are lucky, try and use recovery restore to remotely reinstall the firmware.
