Funny, I've had at least a dozen different Samsung phones and several Sony phones and not a single one ever immediately deleted anything, so I'm unsure why anyone would think that, I'm currently using a Sony Xperia Z5 and that too doesn't immediately delete anything, although I understand that's not the point you're trying to make. Which obscure version of Samsung are you using that I seem to have missed? In my experience OEM Unlock literally just unlocks the ability to flash a new image without the need of a PC, flashing using the SD card, I'm not going to try and say I'm any kind of expert on the matter but the evidence is insurmountable imo, out of the uncountable amount of phones I've had not ONE which has the OEM Unlock option has ever immediately deleted anything on any phone, that's what the Factory Reset option is for, is it not? Or am I missing something that makes it necessary to have the exact same function in 2 different places in your menu but under 2 completely different names? 🤦‍♂️

I do feel this is a bit of false information. Not every single phone out there has an official TWRP recovery build. The only ones that get official builds are the ones that people actually know about and buy. You're not going to get a TCL LX custom recovery, let alone a custom ROM.

@@LeMarin96 Sideload will not work for every device. The command fastboot flash recovery the name of your.img will work on every device. Just recheck you may have entered the file name wrong.

And also waiting for device means your device is not properly connected just make your usb debugging asks you to allow and then type adb devices to see your whether device is listed or not. It should show you a random code listed.

It's been a few years since I've done any rooting or tinkering on android but i cant seem to find anything from TWRP that will work on this insignia tablet i have and since it is not on TWRP's list I'm not sure what to download...

Hi! So I have this problem I did all steps as well as put the files in the root of internal storage but when I do fastboot boot recovery.img it just puts the phone back on to normal doesn't go to bootloader or TWRP
