but why do you not space the front subframe and only the rear? i'm confused.
@racelandsuspension3 жыл бұрын
The front sub-frame doesn't require sub-frame spacers, as the control arms keep everything centered correctly. Also, the engine is secured to the front sub-frame. The rear spacers are used to keep the wheel centered in the wheel well, as the wheel would have a tendency to move when you change the ride height.

for anyone here who has installed this kit, did everything go smoothly? any surprises? how's the quality of the product?

What about front wheels camber ?
@racelandsuspension3 жыл бұрын
We design the front spacers to compensate for the change in camber so you will see that they are offset.

Will this lift increase my fuel consumption even if I don't use larger tires? Will this lift add additional ware to my axles etc?
@racelandsuspension2 жыл бұрын
Generally, when you raise the ride height of any car, the fuel consumption will go up. With regards to the wear on axles etc., the wear will be minimal over the life of the car. Feel free to give us a call if you have any other questions!

@@racelandsuspension Thanks! :) This mod really interests me. I really enjoy my Outback and have been wondering about a "Lift" for a long time. Great video.

Is it recommended to get an alignment after the lift is put on? Also are there any torq requirements to be concerned with for the hardware?
@racelandsuspension2 жыл бұрын
Yes. We do recommend that you get alignment after the kit is installed. All of the specs will be the stock torque specs.

Does it matter if the opening on the subframe is facing towards the inside of the vehicle or the outside
@racelandsuspension3 жыл бұрын
It doesn't matter which direction the spacers are installed. Let us know if you have any other questions!

What modifications will need to be made to the splash guards for use with the lift kit?
@racelandsuspension3 жыл бұрын
You shouldn't need to modify them. You can force them in place without any issues.

Is this guide for a Forester or Outback? Or are the suspensions the same for both vehicles. The title says Outback but video shows Forester…
@racelandsuspension3 жыл бұрын
They are the same for the two models.
@SirLuke2263 жыл бұрын
how long do you expect this install to take? I am worried about the complexity on the rear.
@racelandsuspension3 жыл бұрын
Roughly 5-7 hours.

What size tires will this lift allow for?
@racelandsuspension3 жыл бұрын
You could do 28" tires without any issues. Once to get to 29"s, you may need to do some trimming.
