How to install subwoofers on 11th Gen Civic

This video is straight to the point tutorial on installing a subwoofer on your 11th gen civic. I will link some of the items I used in the description or better alternatives!

PSA: THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH THE SI MODEL THE HEAD UNITS ARE DIFFERENT (I learned the hard way 🥲). Waited a week for the harness to come in the mail. Took apart the dash to find out that the head unit does not have the actual radio attached to it (so the connectors aren't there), but is burried deep underneath the hvac controls and vents. I read a couple forums online to find out even if I did get to the actual radio that it still wouldn't work. So I didn't even bother. You are way better off tapping into the rear factory sub with a line output converter. Still a good video for the other model civics.

@@stevengomez8659none that I've seen so far. But you might be able to find one online if you look hard enough. All I did was tap into the factory sub with a line output converter

I dont understand. On the Si, when you remove the ac controls and the top cover thing, remove the bolts for the screen, there are no wire harness’s? That makes no sense. What’s the radio connected to then?

Hey, you have the most helpful video by far, thank you for putting this together. Did you have to deal with a radio code after disconnecting the battery? I saw maybe 2-3 people on reddit having to deal with it, but I also heard the new Civic doesn’t have a code

No Radio codes just needed to hold down the volume knob and it turns back on.

i have a 24 lx sedan and i seen the link for the harness but it looks different from the one in the video i was trying to check if its the right one before i buy lmao, i have two sundown 15s im trying to hook up lol

I double checked from my purchase and they just have a new style Line Output Convertor, the actual harness pieces are the same. And yes the lx and sport have the same head unit you should be all set!

No issues at all personally. My amp doesn't pull enough power for it to be an issue also a huge pain in the butt to run on the other side lol.

I believe that is when you are installing an amp for your speakers. The subwoofers low frequencies don't interfere

I got a harness through Crutchfield and setup looks similar. I dont see a place for the remote wire, where did you hook yours up?

My convertor had an remote output and it would hook up to the amp

Got it last year off the lot OTD was 27. Super solid daily but be aware its not a race car by any means may be worth looking at a hatch to get a manual over a CVT.

Trying to install an under the seat subwoofer. How much space is between the bottom of both the driver and passenger seat and the floor? Hoping for quick response. This is for my girlfriend and she is coming up in 3 days and I only have 4 days to work on it. The subwoofer is 3 inches tall.

You most likely won’t have the space for then because of the Hvac vent under neath

The red wire from the RCA is meant to run to the amp. Not sure what you mean.
