These videos are super helpful. Thanks for answering my previous questions! I see you put a list of parts / tools if we want to do the install ourselves. Question: if a guy doesn’t have a clue on how to tune an amp, can he “get by” on this install and make it sound decent ? Also, im clueless about where a fuse may be needed or just the general schematics for a setup like you’ve done on your boat (speaking of your earlier videos - your first upgrade)…. Do the items like amp and speakers come w them so I’d know how to lay it out ?

Those are great questions but if you have no experience it can be pretty confusing and the possibilities of damage to equipment are high. I would recommend having a professional install the equipment unless you can get some hands on training first or someone knowledgeable to assist you in the process. I’m sorry if that’s not what you’d like to hear but I pride myself on being honest and protecting my viewers first and foremost.

What kind of screws and drill bit did you use to install the speakers to the pods?

I used stainless steel screws with a fresh titanium drill bit.

@@christopherrogers2892 I do not, I custom fabricate to each setup. I look at mounting hole width, depth, and material to determine what I use.

I finally installed the pair on my boat and when on the lake last weekend noticed the speakers turning due to driving my boat into heavy waves. I am considering tapping the Rockville mounts and running a 1/4" or 3/8" set screw though them so they snug up better against my t-top. Have you had any issues with yours wanting to rotate due to rough conditions on the water?

During rough conditions yes, I added an extra rubber spacer trimmed from the original inserts and added to their extra insert they sent for our size bars.

How do you feel about the rockville tower speakers (RWB65B) ? I love skar but with buying the pods and speakers it gets a lil pricey!

I personally would NEVER recommend Rockville but if that’s your budget then some extra audio is better than no audio right… if you already have some audio I would save and wait to do it right.
