Hey I just bought the same boat with the same trailer but I can’t figure out if I need to do something special to get the trailer brakes to work- is it just the 7pin connector ?

They are surge brakes. They engage from the trailer motion not electronically.

Sorry but I have to be honest and say I’m not a fan but to each their own. Looks like it would make washing and waxing the boat a challenge.

I can see your point but I have a coating on my boat. Waxing is out, I highly recommend ceramic coating your boat. 2 years now and all I do is rinse with soapy water and it’s done. Higher gloss, better protection, and only need to apply a spray on booster every 6 months that you can coat all materials in including the graphics. Check out detailjuice.com and save yourself time, effort, and money! @garrydean
