Thank you so much for this video. I was tired of waiting for my handyman to give me an estimate on installing this, so I searched KZbin for a good tutorial and this was perfect. I watched it on my Kindle as I undertook the process. I'm a 71 year old woman who's not afraid to assemble things and get things done on my own. The learning curve now is opening the manual and figuring out the remote control - some of which I correctly guessed anyway.

Good video. Make sure if you use the elbow, that you screw it on squarely and do not cross thread. It’s plastic on plastic so if you tighten it, you can easily chew up the plastic male end attached to the seat. The only piece that I had to use a wrench on was the supply hose to the elbow. I had a leak there and hand tightening was not enough. As stated, just don’t overtighten too much.

Hello Daniel, Great video! What to do when the water is not warming up. All of the sudden it happened together with oscillating is weaker too. Can you help?
@ManyBidets2 жыл бұрын
Normally when we see something like this, it's because of restricted water flow to the water heater... This can be due to mineral buildup in the seat, a pinched or kinked hose, or a large particle that somehow made it into the seat. Normally in these situations, it makes the most sense to send it in for repair. If you purchased from us, please email us with your order number, and we'd be happy to file a warranty claim with Bio Bidet on your behalf.

How is the water heated? Does this product need to be attached to the hot water tank?
@ManyBidets2 жыл бұрын
No need to have anything connected to a hot water line! It heats the water in the seat itself. You connect it to the cold water line that leads to the toilet using the provided T (as shown in the video) and as long as you have an outlet to plug it into, the seat does the rest! Sadly, my electric outlet is on the left and the cord won't reach. I know from having to ask a vendor that the cord is 4 feet--I had to ask them--they don't list that on their page AND the manufacturer does not list the length in their instruction manual. :-(

Does the elbow come with the BB-2000 you talk about at the 6:35 part of the video? If not, do you know where I can order it? Also, I have an Gerbit in-wall toilet. So I think I would have an issue with the T they use (as obviously I can't run the water supply line in the wall like that). I would have to come straight from the 3/8" shutoff to the elbow. It looks like both sides are 1/2" I stopped by Home Depot and did not see a reducer. Any suggestions on where I can find the right reducer as I don't understand the FIP, OD, and all those other abbreviations I saw.
@ManyBidets3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the questions Bob. It does come with a L connector talked about at that point in the video. I was only sharing that you don't need to use it if you don't want to (but most people decide to use it) We do have an alt T connector that will connect to the water supply: www.manybidets.com/product/bidet-t-valve-for-skirted-toilet/ since the water supply is probably in the wall, you won't need the off-shoot of the T connector. If that's the case, you could always cap the end you don't use. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns!

Why the water is always running? Is it normal?
@ManyBidets2 жыл бұрын
Always running through the seat, or into the toilet tank? through the seat 24/7 is not normal and indicates that there's either a leak in the seat somewhere or the solenoid has gone bad. A toilet tank always running is totally different and should be investigated by a plumber or handyman locally.

No thread tape?
@ManyBidets3 жыл бұрын
Nope! Because of the rubber washers in each of the fittings, teflon tape is not needed. A little plumbers tape is OK, but the most common reason we see leaking in bidets is from the overuse of tape, so manufactures tend to recommend none be used at all since it's not needed to make a good seal in the first place.

@oinc73202 ай бұрын
Gee, someone who knows the difference between a compression fitting and a metal to metal pipe thread. No telon tape used. Telon tape can defeat a rubber compression fitting by not allowing the parts to snug up together. You then get the telon tape only stopping the leaks. Worse piling it on as people do, a plastic to plastic fitting can get stressed, aka female part, as you increased the diameter of the male part.
