How to install the Google Play Store on the Amazon Fire Max 11

The reason why Fire tablets are so much cheaper than other tablets is because Amazon subsidizes the cost. They don't make any profit on the hardware itself. Their profits come from targeted ads, data collection, and all of the stuff you will buy from Amazon while using your tablet; Movies, music, books, games, etc. Like Apple, Amazon cages you inside of their ecosystem, ensuring that all of your purchases are exclusively through them.

Make sure when getting the 4th download for play store that you dont grab anything over Android 11 package, the Fire OS is only Android 11, the package for 12 wont parse the file or corrupt your whole install.

For the 4th link, I've been getting "There was a problem parsing the package". As of today 3/20/24. I already allowed silk browser permissions too.

This is great. I followed your directions for my new Fire Max 11 and aside from the glitch st the end, for the play store file not parsing, it all worked. I found another final play store file that worked. I appreciate these directions so much. Thank you.

This is a *must* IMO for Amazon tablets. They are great hardware for the money (esp if you snag one on prime day). But not having access to so many apps because of how bad the Amazon App Store is a major con. I did this to my Fire HD 10+ (11th generation) shortly after I got it. Have never had a single problem since with FireOS Updates or anything. I'm thinking about upgrading to the Fire Max 11 because today is Prime day. The 128GB model without ads is $160. Wanted to make sure this still worked on the hardware and newer version of FireOS. Seems to be as easy as it was on my HD 10. Think I'm gonna grab one. The 128 GB with ads is already sold out

Great instruction! Thanks! Hopefully Amazon will never install inhibitors not allowing the Play Store. It takes nothing away from Amazon. It only adds to the value of the Fire Tablets. This is my third Amazon tablet: I have Fire 8, Fire 10 and now the Max Fire 11, each with Play Store. I also have a Samsung Galaxy tablet and love it as well. So no one is harmed by this hack. I followed your video and article today. The one concern I had was downloading the play store. All the other downloads were easy to install. But it was not clear which play store app to download or the bedt way to install it. I eventually got it but it was not clear how best to install that specific download. Which of the GOOGLE PLAY STORE downloads am I supposed to actually download? There isn’t just ONE…. There are MULTIPLE downloads. I chose the one at the top, and when I clicked on it to install, I got some pop up that showed “THERE WAS A PROBLEM PARSING THE PACKAGE”. I then restarted the tablet, and it took me to a boot screen. I managed to restart it, but it DID NOT install the Google Play Store.

@karisascott4153 Make sure to download the files that are for Android 5+ (NOT 10+), NO beta and NO bundles. Worst case you'll have to factory restore your tablet and start over. He *REALLY* should have reminded everyone (multiple times) to take a backup BEFORE attempting this process. I hope that helps.

Don't download bundles. If it says about parsing - delete the one you downloaded and go to the one underneath. When you do get a version that's right - the playstore has a built in updates.

For the same amount of money, I'd say just buy a Nokia T21 tablet that has a near stock build of Android, with roughly the same specs, 2 years of OS upgrades, and 3 years of security updates, so you don't have to jump through hoops like this. I currently have the Nokia T20, and have been overall really happy with it as my main EDC portable system on Android 12, and I'm waiting for the Android 13 update.
