How to install the H-D Screamin Eagle Bluetooth Pro Street Tuner on the 23 Road Glide CVO

Chris, Thank you for this video. I was able to successfully perform a base tune on my 2023 CVO after installing a full 2into2 Bassani and SE Heavy Breather. Saved myself $400. Initially I was having trouble connecting the BCI to the bike. Don't know why. I re-booted everything and voila! After being able to connect, the programming only took 10 minutes. 👍🏽

I’ve put out some very negative information and reviews about that tuner in my other videos but there were still things that I enjoyed about it. I think more exciting things will come out of this new technology and tuner. I love using the mobile features.

I just added or had the dealer add the SE pro tuner today.. its paired with their laptop.. So I will be trying to unpair their laptop and connect my phone. Appreciate your videos and help!

Yep, they paired my tuner to there Phone and when I got home, 40 miles later , the tuner would not pair to my Phone until they unpaired it from the technicians phone so I had to ride 40 miles back before mine could pair. Not a user friendly APP either.

Hey man great video. I see you used the Y cable and a PC. I just bought the tuner and plugged it in and tried to use the app. I am able to connect, turn off screen lock, turn off bikes infotainment, get the app to connect and click on program for the base stage 1 map. It then says turn off run switch and turn back on then i click program and it starts and about 2 seconds later is states "Headlamp did not turn off, reflash process aborted" followed by code 14 error. The manual says code 14 to try again. I have tried many times with no luck. I made sure bike was fully charged on battery tender with green light and still no luck. Been googling around found nothing. Just curious if you had tried via the bluetooth method at all or just went straight to the PC method with Y cable? Thanks 24 CVO Road Glide.

Hey Chris, when you installed the heavy breather, can you hear the throttlebody opening? It sounds like a big gulp of air?

It’s very had for me to tell because my other bike is so much more faster and powerful. Once I install the full exhaust this week I will know. The new breather provides way more air. The factory airbox is all cosmetic and I can’t see it by design providing much of any air. I can’t believe that its cover is simply held by Velcro. Insane. If you take yours apart you will change it regardless of power gain or not. I changed and tuned together but with factory exhaust. I rode fast with a group and got smoked by a 2020 Indian challenger that was in rain mode. It did have a stage 2 with full exhaust and cam but I think I may have been losing power without full stage connection. Not sure but I will know by this weekend. The bike has most its power above 3,500 rpm range and short races as low end for now meet with L’s. However, it’s a cruiser and I have to report that it’s not designed for speed and race. The added 121 is for heavy riders and two up touring. I still love to think I can run it but it’s like putting race parts on a station wagon or mini van

Hey big bro I get mine tomorrow! 2 questions will my bars from my 21 road glide fit on the new cvo and also my seat from my 21 road glide fit? Harley didn’t know when I asked

No. None of it will fit. Seat slot is different. You may be able to use some power tools to make it work. I can’t see the bars working out but please let me know if you get either to work for you. With all the new buttons I’m now even chancing switching my bars out. With the new push button heat grips and menu buttons, no way. I can see that voiding the electronic portion of the infotainment screen.

I noticed you have a HD coil cover. The 23 CVO's are not listed on the fitment tab for these covers. Did you have any issues installing it?

Hi. Thank you for noticing. It’s the first thing I put on, I had it on my 2023 Lowrider S. It fits perfectly as that coil is the same exact part. It took me 5 minutes and that includes removing it from other bike. If you get the one that fits the 23 H-D Lowrider S then it fits.

No. I didn’t but I have on other bike. I have had some strange occurrences though but it’s relative to many factors regarding temperature and start sequence

It’s common to have issues but sometimes it works after software updates and rebooting.

Yes. It’s available. I have started to tune with it but was rushing and I need to read the screens a bit closer when not trying to rush outside to beat the daylight.
