Nice walk through. I will be coming back to this video when i buy an e60 m5. Definitely a must have mod on such a legendary engine

Great video thanks for taking the time. I have just bought one of these too, how long would you say it took you to install and is it tricky to do or more just time consuming? Toying with fitting myself or getting a garage to do it for me.

It's just time consuming, the first time doing this it took me quite a while. I make it look easy in the video, but doing things like the screw installation for the sides of the plenum took time to get right. I didn't initially have the ball end metric Allen driver for example. I also had to cut the upper Oetiker clamps off the old plenums, arrange the boots so they all lined up correctly, and then make sure the positions matched the old plenums so I could reach each lower clamp with the screwdriver. Me personally I would not have taken it to a shop but I can certainly understand why someone would. If I were to do it again I'd buy new Oetiker clamps (either those Amazon ones or OEM) and OEM boots, and only transfer over the hose clamps (the lower non-permanent ones) instead of moving the old boots and using hose clamps up top.

Love it. Are the dyno graphs before and after?

I originally thought it was a fully stock baseline but it was actually stock with the now-gone FAMS tuning vs this. So stock with a tune vs Infinity Design parts plus their tuning.

you did this with stock exhaust ?
@scottsracing11 ай бұрын
Yeah it's stock back to the mufflers, those are Valvetronic but they don't really do anything on the stock system. Pretty much everything you hear is coming from the front of the car.

how has this been working out for you ?

It turned out great, the pre-preg "dry" carbon is extremely tough material and I uninstalled / reinstalled it at least 10 times without issue. Troubleshooting the car itself is a different story though, after having to do throttle actuators a third time, I ended up selling it back to the previous owner. He still pings me from time to time and loves it with this setup. I bought an F90 M5 Competition and will be starting to post content about that car moving forward.

40whp? Damn any other mods u did to get that 430whp? Stock is around 415-420whp

Yup I was told by the tuning company that the majority of the gains on those cars are had by increasing the flow to the ITBs and top end rather than things like exhaust or even displacement. It's pretty amazing what a difference it made.
