VERY DESCRIPTIVE AND THOROUGH!! After wasting time browsing for a detailed descriptive instructional video to setup my new Leviton humidity sensor, this literally was the ONLY one, let alone thorough enough, anyone could understand. Thanks! ...wife & mother of six kiddos

That's why you should hire an electrician.

@@DanGonzalesDenver Actually he was being very helpfull. If you don't understand basic electricity, you are of a risk to yourself, and whoever uses the shower while this thing is on. The reason for connecting 2 whites on neutral, one black on hot and one black on load, is the switch requires power as it is an active switch and not a passive switch. Meaning it requires a live power connection for it to work. The other neutral wire is for the fan. The hot terminal is self explanatory, as it is the line in power connection to power the switch. And the load terminal is for the fan. A normal switch is wired the same except that the white wires would be spliced with a wire nut

he supposed to pig tale both neutral s and have only one wire coming from the pig tale connected to the switch

Show how to connect without neutral wire … your videos are always in perfect situation which is uncommon most of the times

Not sure if anyone is still following this, but I am replacing a bathroom fan control that has 2 black wires on the back connected to a black and white in the outlet. The replacement is the Leviton as in this video. I connected the white wire to the white connector and the black wire to the black connector on the Leviton (also the green wire to the green connector.) Obviously did something wrong. The fan control worked fine, but this Leviton does not

you can turn the sensor on and off by holding the button for 10 seconds
