Looks like a lot of thought and design went in to that shelf, well done DRC! Price is a bit too steep for me right now but maybe once gen 2 or 3 comes in with the Yeti attachments etc I might be ready to pull the trigger. I designed a drawer system and fridge pullout system the same way you made this. I spent ~400 (including the fridge pull out from American Adventure Labs). 2- 7" deep drawers to the left, and the fridge to the left with a shelf on top with padeyes on them for tying stuff down. Might be heavy, but a hell of a lot lighter on my wallet. lol

I have to confess, I "burrowed" your idea and made my own. To be fair I had built something similar for my YJ so the idea was already vacillating in my little brain so technically you "inspired" me to make a set for the JL. I am in the custom cabinet business so I am no stranger to making odd shaped templates, this was a bit of a PITA. Nice work! I hope you sell the hell out of these!

Really great to see your idea become real. The close up at the C pillar Ryan did at about 10:50 really shows the smooth , exact, quality cuts. That was a great shot for your product. You might try putting a 3/4 X 3/4 angle iron along the front and back edge stopping before the ends to not scratch your paint stagger the side and bottom screwing it every 6in will stiffen it up greatly

I wish it went completely flush all the way around for a complete enclosure with would help even more with unexpected rain and included the longer bolts for the hard top. I would just set it in and leave it on for good just remove hardtop and already on. Honestly for me the deal breaker is the not completely sealed enclosure.

Nice that his can be used on the 4-door with the soft top installed. Kind of cool that you’re going to do the other less popular versions, coming. I know, with mine, I have the added complexity of having an interior rack, installed on top of the hardtop, on a 2-door model. I think I’ll be waiting a while for my product application launch… I hope this leads to to Doug Demuro/Cars-N-Bids money! PS - DON’T tell them granola huggers about it being done in a cabinet shop! Someone will come after you for not putting an allergy warning on the product info. #DUNKIN SPONSORSHIP!!!!!

Figure out the thread pattern/length then search for tamper resistant head. A good fastener shop should be able to help.

Wow! Must be great to have a Jeep. I ordered my Rubicon X on April 24th and they haven’t even started production on it yet. Dealer says maybe production will start November 1st. I literally built a house in less time than this Jeep. Worst car buying experience of my life. Horrible.

Good job on the product and production. Still think you need to do some more research and development. At least make it water resistant. The gap in the back can be a simple fix. Would you put your wife’s clothes in the back and if you went thru a rainstorm. What would happen. Better yet. What if you had your dogs dog food in the back. And if you designed it. You would know every specific length, width, thickness etc.
