Snabb short shifter kit installation: $50 / $270
In this video I helped a supporter install a Snabb short shifter kit. This kit shortens the travel of the gear shift knob while shifting gears on a vehicle that has a manual transmission. This kit was installed on a Volvo 850, but this process should be the same on several Volvo vehicles equipped with a manual standard transmission: 850, S70, V70, C70, S60, etc.

I made one of these plates myself. The short shifter works as if it had always been like this. However, I modified the cable guide so that it aligns as if it were original. I can only recommend the conversion!

Hey Robert, thank you for the video. I just recently got one too but it didn't come with any bolts or nuts. Do you remember what the the sizes were for all of the bolts or no, if not it's fine and I'll figure it out on my own.

Hi Robert, I had an early version of that short shifter before it was upgraded. It did bind a bit, so I removed it after a couple of years. The updated design looks to be improved. How does the vehicle owner like it?
