I just got a brand new Bosch dishwasher. This part was sitting on the upper rack in the dishwasher once it was installed. I Googled the part number and saw this video. Thank you very much. Now it is perfectly clear what this part is for.

Strange aside. The "part number" you Googled is actually the name of the type of plastic the part is made from, ppdd20 is a polypropylene homopolymer filled to 20% with talc. Nonetheless, Google took both of us here. Amazing.

I had no idea what this part was. No reference to it in any of the instructions. Googled "Bosch dishwasher rose part" - hey presto mystery solved.

This video just saved me from going completely insane..lol, the sprinkler was inside the dishwasher on the bottom, when I bought it second hand. I thought it had fallen off and couldn't for the life of me locate where it went..well, now I do, so, cheers!! 😁

You should. However, my daughter got the same dishwasher about 3 weeks ago and she did not get the sprinkler head. She called the store where she purchased it and they gave her one.

Interesting. I just called Bosch and they said that it does not come with the dishwasher. It seemed to me that the manual implied that it did (though it didn't not explicitly say one way or the other).
