Just did this today, thanks to this video. I've got just enough mechanic knowledge to get me in trouble, but this video was a nice step by step guide to reference on the tricky bits. Great job!

Thanks to theses videos I replaced the pump, tensioner pulley, idler pulley belt and hoses. I did have issue with the top thermostat housing bolt. Put it through the housing before putting it in place.Using a 1/4" ratchet and extension also helped . Used anti-seize on all bolts.The Haynes manual came through with torque specs and some pictures that were helpful for reassembly. Thanks again.

Thanks, many thanks, I jus finished the operation on my 2014 4.6: went for a ride and everything is good so far. By the way, the original tension pulley says Dayso on the back. My one had minor differences on thermostat housing.

Awesome.. Thanks for posting your truck year so others know this procedure will work on a 2014 Tundra 4.6L. Thanks for watching!

Buy a set of 5 or more paint pens, then mark all hoses and bolts/nuts with a mark across in different colors the part, stud and block if possible... Beats trying to remember, especially if you are ever building an engine from scratch!!

Many thanks for the information, it made this much easier to get accomplished today.

Thanks for this, I just ordered the parts today, just bought a 2008 sequoia w/ 230000 miles and notices some pink residue on the back of the radiator so I'm replacing the pump too.

Great video. do you still have the 5.7? If so how many miles and have you had any other issues? head gasket ?

Coolant was coming out of the weep hole because the seal failed. So I wouldn't praise the quality too much there. The belts don't show cracking because of the material they are made of now (EPDM). It wears differently than the old rubber. They make a special gauge to measure the wear because even the worn ones look new.

Nice cassette rack in the background, or at least I believe it is, hahahaha!!!!

Thanks for the video. It is VERY helpful. Any idea on where to find the replacement part for the small hose that you said you should spray rubbing alcohol on? Mine has a pinhole leak in it.

Are you talking about the upper radiator hose?... Here is the link amzn.to/37tFIte - - - if not let me know which hose and I'll see what I can find

@@NailedorFailedReviews The one you show at 6:30 mark. The "pain in the a$$" one. It really is.

@@mikeg4484 OK doesn't look like I can find that hose anywhere...I would suggest going to NAPA Auto and ask for heater hose replacement - looks to be around 1/2" or 3/4" inside diameter possibly...they should have some reinforced hose that can be cut to length
@mikeg44844 жыл бұрын
That sounds good. I can’t find the name of it either, other than a heater hose cut down to size. I just put on a 1/2” one. I think it’s slightly larger than that but not sure if it’s from the heat over time. Thanks for looking into it and taking your time to reply back.

Did you torque the water pump bolts to spec? Maybe you skipped that part?
@NailedorFailedReviews Жыл бұрын
For sure, always....some of that stuff we forget to record : (

You forgot to tell everyone to put the thermostat burp hole at the top when putting it back together so it lets the air circulat out.

Mount radiator first, then fan and finish with shroud.

fan and shroud come out as one....leave radiator

I guess you forgot to install the rubber oring seal that comes in the box??? If it is not used it would be beneficial to state that fact in the video.
@NailedorFailedReviews4 жыл бұрын
Its on there.. Didn't forget.. Just didn't show it... Always use the seal and gasket that comes with the water pump
@JustinNorton-re5fd9 ай бұрын
You never just tighten until it stops, there is a torque speck for a reason SMH. Especially when there is a seal or gasket!
