The inside door should be closest to the showerhead so the water doesn't go out the opening between the doors. The other thing with that door, the water tends to splash over the bottom track.

I hate my Delta door for the splash under the glass and on to the floor. Adjusted the glass as low as it can go and still will splash off the metal bottom channel..

It's the absolute worst...I've just got used to wiping down the floor after showering. They had sent a rubber stick on channel after I complained but that didn't last long.

I will share what I consider much needed info on this Delta system. The brackets that screw through the glass that the rollers are attached to NOTE there are horizontal grooves on one side. The Delta Logo on both doors face into the shower. You can feel the etching. The inner door has the grooves facing into the shower. The outer door the horizontal grooves face toward outside the shower. Another VERY important NOTE is that if you try to use the lowest holes in those brackets you will NOT get the rollers to sit on the track rail properly & the bracket will rub against the frames groove for them to slide on. A tip my wife thought of was to add a tiny spacer behind the roller moving the roller out just a tiny bit. I used a lock washer that just fit over the screw & is about 1/32" to 1/16" thick. This allowed the roller to move outward just a tiny amount & allowed the roller to seat in the track without the bracket hitting. Another VERY important thing is the set your inner door inside the tub/shower placing shoes or something to support the door to rest on & lean the door against the wall then set the outer door on the track then set the inner door last. This gives you more swing room to get the rollers on the track without bumping the inner door. One last thing is to NOTE that if your tub/shower is NOT perfect level your doors will slide to one side. Ideally you should set both rollers in the same holes on each bracket but in the real world this does NOT always work so you will need to use different holes for each roller. This takes time but when you get one that works you copy that to the other door. Now back to leveling your unlevel tub/shower so your doors move & you have enough door to keep water in. You can shim the front or back of the top bracket & you may need to cut one side bracket lower to get it level so dry fit first. Lastly your doors will have more room height wise in the front or back depending on your case so try your best to get them as low as possible without whatever side is lower hitting the bottom track. The info I provided here should be in the manual & spacers such as the star washers should be included to use hole #1.

For the handles make sure you added some silicone to the tops of the slide over covers to cover the screws. Why cause when you clean they are knocked off easily.
