Upgrading from the deprecated unifi-controller, did a full backup, stopped the docker. Ran into issues deploying your stack due to a port conflict, removed it from the compose. Restored backup, back up and running in under 30 minutes. Thanks a lot!

Thanks for teh Tutorial aswell the scripts! I just wonder what would the upgrade procedure look like, just refresh the stack since mongo db is a fixed version and unifi is set to latest it should update the container and retains the data?

You're welcome! You should stay on the same version of MongoDB. You can always do a Unifi backup and restore if you need to move.

Thanks for the video big bear tech. For future users, i had trouble installing this because the mongo version didn't play well with my system's arm version (raspberry pi), so I downgraded mongo to 3.6.23 and it worked. not sure if optimal.

You're welcome, and I'm glad I could help. They say the last version that supports Raspberry Pi is MongoDB 4.4.13. Downgrading to MongoDB 3.6.23 might have resolved the compatibility problem with your ARM-based system, but it's worth noting that MongoDB 3.6 is an older version, and it may not have the latest features, improvements, and security updates compared to newer versions.

I was having the same problem getting it running on my Pi 4. Just wanted to let folks know that 4.4.18 is the latest version that supports the architecture linux/arm64/v8. The v8 is the key for it to support the Pi. I've got it running now perfectly.

Thank you for video and shared code and scrips. I got an problem that cost me allot of time. IDK why but this .js file was mounting as folder not as file in container, because of that user creation was without success and app was not working ) Problem was because of host OS for docker, Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTS, i was so angry that i just reinstalled docker un fedora server then your guide worked like a charm. As i understand problem is that docker did not see this .js file, maybe because of some problem with access from snap to this directory u created. In my case was just simpler to reinstall docker on other host ))

installing the controller software is easy.. Getting it to actually find your unifi devices is a different story.. .Especially if you use vlans and different subnets than the actual server is on.... Unfortunately you just cover the basic install...

if you are under Portainer, go to “Settings” , “System” , “Advanced” and check the “Override” in line “Inform Host" and enter your IPserver ( IP of the VM). After few second your AP is ready to be adopted

Maybee somebody can help me, im running portainer at a virtualized debian 12. The bash script fails, gives me "Error downloading the file. Check your Internet connection or the URL." I have make this file/script myself, but i dont seems to be executed. I was trying to deploy the stack, it goes ok, but with mongodb 6.0.11, the db container, gives an error "requires a CPU with AVX support" If i remove everything, and deployed with mongo 4.4.7, the db container gives me "error":"UserNotFound: Could not find user \"unifi\" for db \"unifi\""} I will be happy for your help :)

requires a CPU with AVX support - i got same error, my hypervisor is "proxmox", i just moved my vm to another pc that support avx and changed in cpu type from quemu64 to host> That fixed problem wiht avx but i stiill have error with user in db, its like the init file did not worked.
