How To Install Vuforia In Unity 2020 Or Greater

In today's video I show you How To Install Vuforia In Unity or greater from creating a new Unity augmented reality project with Vuforia to importing Vuforia Unity SDK, to importing Vuforia Core Samples from the Unity Asset Store.

I have a unity 2020 installed in my laptop. I created a new project, downloaded the latest Vuforia in the site itself and Vuforia Core Samples in Asset store. Did upgrade/update to both Vuforia and Vuforia Core Samples when asked.. But I'm still receiving error like "missing a using directive or an assembly reference?" :|

Just removed Vuforia from my app and started using AR foundation as they now charge per app per month for licencing. Love your tutorials.

Interesting, I appreciate your feedback as well, I see people with larger budgets using Vuforia if they need a feature not available in AR Foundation, but I agree that AR Foundation provides you with most basic tools out of the box and free ;)

I haven’t seen that before, I would say to try to reinstall Unity or perhaps restart the system, create a new project, and try again.

Hi! Do you know how to remove watermark? I've been trying to contact vuforia for months but there is no response at all

Looks like it depends on what features you are using. This is what I found under their docs: “If you are using the Model Targets or Area Targets with a BASIC license key, a watermark will show, and the application cannot be published to an app store. Remove the watermark by upgrading to the PREMIUM plan.” Which means that if you use the features available under the basic plan then no watermark should show, otherwise you need to get a premium plan. I would suggest deleting the plugin completely and re-importing it, perhaps try a new unity project to test it before doing that on the main project.

@@HabibYo there is not an automatic conversion but with some manual work you could migrate it without problems, I would look into features you use in Vuforia that may not be available in AR Foundation, if there aren’t any then it should be a straightforward conversion.
