Hi, thanx for the very interesting videos! I have one question. Can you install it without the alarm and only get a call when someone opens a door or a window. ( like some sort of silent alarm) I would like to buy it for my mother who has Alzheimer and who is living on her own, to avoid she goes out at night (recently left the home at 4AM to go for a walk). I'm concerned that a loud alarm would freak her out. I live only 180 meters away so if a get a call I can easily find her and escort her back home.

Hello. These have served me well but I'm moving and wanted to know what product and HOW can I remove these alarms which are affixed solely to my windows on the vertical sides with the *3M adhesive it* came with. It is incredibly strong. *My primary concern is not damaging any of the alarms so they can be used again* with new batteries not so much the wooden and metal it is affixed to. Thank you. I have some rubbing alcohol but was afraid I might damage the alarms. I just need to loosen up the adhesive strips.

You should be able to twist the sensor back and forth, weakening the adhesive and then pull/twist it off, ensuring that you are using a hand on the top and bottom of the sensor. Depending on how much room you have to work, you can use an exacto knife to carefully to slice the adhesive, in-between the sensor backing and window. Use gloves when handling the exacto knife. Some people have used strong dental floss to saw/cut through the adhesive. In any case do it as carefully as you can.

What should be the range on these pir motion sensors?the documentation says 8m at 2.2m height but I'm barely getting 3-4m. I tried 3 sensors with same results. Any advice?

I installed my door sensor and connected it to the alarm and set it as our arm active. And it doesn’t do anything when the door is opened besides flash red

Do you mean when you arm the system it doesnt trigger the alarm? I habe seen this happen whem the sensor isnnot alighed perfectly with the arrows on each side and not on an uneven door frame. Hello there, sorry you feel this way, The video does show how to put on a sliding window, but because of your comment I will make a video that specifically focuses on installing the sensor on different types of windows. In the mean time here are a few tips when installing contact sensors on windows: 1. Ensure that the Sensor is placed in an area where both sides can lay flat and be as level with each other as possible. 2. The Arrows on each side of the sensors are aligned 3. Each side of the sensor is about 1/4" apart or less. 4. Installed as high as possible on the window if possible to prevent it from getting knocked out of place. 5. Although the large side of the sensor is typically placed on the frame. in some instances there is not enough room on the frame, therefore it is better to have the large side on the window instead and the magnet side on the frame. 6. Make sure to clean the window and frame thoroughly before sticking the sensors on. 7. make sure the sensor placement will not get in the way of opening and closing the window I hope this helps a little bit, and sorry that this video did not help you enough. I'll be sure to make a video that focuses on this!
