Thanks for the tips. If the installation doesn't show you the option "I don't have internet" (4:17) and then forces you to enable network and later for a Microsoft account, 1st disable network, 2nd shift+f10 and type "oobe\bypassnro". It will restart and show you the option.

THANK YOU!! This helped a TON! I was getting the error that my VM was not set up for TPM. Your video showed me where to find that and I continued with no issues. I also got that issue when you first start and can't "press any key". If you just send a CTRL-ALT-DEL (I was lucky and found this by accident), then you will be able to press the space bar and continue without having to re-connect to your VM.

@4:36 you can get to Enhanced mode easily: From the Hyper-V window, click VIEW and choose "Enhance Session" -- From there you can enable sound.

I had a problem with my mouse input. Couldn't fix it. When in the installation process I couldn't use my mouse, nor keyboard to select next (even on the first part - with the languages). I tried some fixes, like Enhancement or something and some other ones, but couldn't really figure it out with or without watching tutorials on fixing it. I am happy that it works for most people though, cheers everyone.

I want to start by saying I've used hyper v a lot. A lot. I've been able to make Win10 vms and be able to activate them (with massgrave, in the event I want to activate) but I _always_ ran into troubles with Windows 11, until I found this video. Guys I *strongly* recommend you view this step by step even if you are already aware of how a lot of hyper v works. For me, I had *tons* of issues with the ISO that I would make with the windows media creation tool but once I downloaded _the very one The Artmann indicated_ I had no problems. VM works fine. That said, I hope The Artmann takes the time to upload the GPU passthrough files somewhere that is not telegram. The site they were once on is now down, so they are on telegram however a user requires an account. That's where I'm going to stop but monitor and hope another solution may be provided.

Make sure you choose the 4 virtual processors! Not just the TPM. Windows 11 Pro worked fine on Windows 2019 Hyper-V.

So, you want to test if your hardware is compatible with Windows 11 using a VIRTUAL MACHINE? That's no way to conduct the test. Firstly, running a virtual machine consumes resources from your host system, which means your available resources will be divided, impacting performance as a whole. Additionally, if your computer has low specs, it may not even be able to run the virtual machine smoothly. Therefore, I fail to understand the logic behind testing Windows 11 compatibility with your hardware using a virtual machine. How would that even work?

I don't care about how slow it is or performance, it would be a 5 minute test to see if my RAID works when Windows 11 loads after I have installed the drivers for it. Are you saying you can't test your hardware in virtual machines ? I don't want to install Windows 11 normally and then find my RAID card doesn't work with it, hence the idea of testing first with a virtual machine.

During the Win11 setup 4:47, it prompts "How would you like to set up this device?" (which it didn't show on your procedure), and I either choose "Set up for personal use" or "Set up for work or school". I assume I choose "Set up for personal use" (this will be a reference image), but after choosing that and clicking 'Next', it takes me to "Unlock your Microsoft Experience" screen, and it prompts me to Sign In. Since this is a reference image, if I put my sign-in credentials, will that be an issue? OR should I delete the VM I created and start over?

Everything works up until after I change the audio and resolution (I don't change the resolution though). Once I click connect it loads back into windows but doesn't allow me to enter a pin or anything. It's just a blue screen and never changes. I've restarted and everything and it is still happening. You can install any OS in a virtual machine as long as your device is powerful enough to handle them both, because even on a VM, Windows 11 still needs the minimum requirements to operate.
