After install in my computer there is no xampp control panal option for further use. There is xampp window installer through which it reinstall in new folder...pls replyy

Hi there. Sadly no. XAMPP for windows is different than that of Kali Linux. The code is different for each and will not support it. So you will have to separately install XAMPP for Kali. Hope that helps.

Hi Jaffer, one of many reasons is XAMPP cannot start MySQL service by itself. So you need to run MySQL service manually. First, make sure that 'mysqld.exe' is not running, if it is running, end it (go to Task Manager > Progresses Tab > right click 'mysqld.exe' > end task). Open your services.msc by Run (press 'Window + R') > services.msc or on your XAMPP Control Panel, click 'Services' button. Find 'MySQL' service, right click and run it. Hope that helps!

Just change the port from 80 to some other value. Now, restart the xampp control panel and start the Apache server.

Hi Anushree, maybe your old installed xampp is not uninstalled properly. So, here's what you need to do: 1) Delete 'xampp' folder in 'C:/'. 2) Delete 'MySQL' folder in 'C:/Program Files' if it is there. 3) Delete 'Apache Software Foundation' folder in 'C:/Program Files' if it is there. 4) Restart your PC/Laptop. 5) Install xampp again. If you want you can save your folder data by copying them into a temporary folder. After installation cut them and copy to their relevant locations. Hope that helps!

Hi Harikottam, a very easy option is to simply set Apache to listen on a different port. This can be done by clicking on the "Config" button on the same line as the "Apache" module, select the "httpd.conf" file in the dropdown, then change the "Listen 80" line to "Listen 8080". Save the file and close it. Now it avoids Port 80 and uses Port 8080 instead without issue. The only additional thing you need to do is make sure to put localhost:8080 in the browser so the browser knows to look on Port 8080. Otherwise it defaults to Port 80 and won't find your local site. This will also require you to restart Apache for the change to take effect. Hope that helps!
