It's against fire code, same reason you can't install a bedroom door that requires a key to open from the inside. You won't get checked unless you have a building inspector come or you get in trouble with CPS.

Can be opened from both sides of the door, just gotta be tall enough to reach it. Not sure if that changes whether or not it passes fire code tho.

Doesn’t work for entry doors that open to the interior.

Hi Joy, the GlideLok actually DOES work for most entry doors that open to the interior. The screw and sleeve would be installed on the outside of the door, but remember that the GlideLok can be accessed from BOTH sides so you can slide it across regardless of which side of the door you are on. One of the biggest benefits of the GlideLok is it can be accessed from both sides of the door by an adult.
