A good way to shorten your time is to use the crochet pre twisted hair. then all you have to do is crochet the pretwist hair, and wrap the Marley hair around your hair and the twist together
@TheMsTBennett9 жыл бұрын
+Jamie Pope Exactly what I was thinking! :) You could get a couple bags of that Senegalese hair and wrap that with the Marley hair!
@9jah4lyf9 жыл бұрын
pre-twisted hair is a very good idea but it's not available everywhere. I personally don't think you even need the hair twisted. I do my own faux locs all the time and I just wrap the hair. Why twist? It's going to be covered up anyway.....
@MsSassyMT9 жыл бұрын
+9jah4lyf Good point about not even needing to twist your hair.
@9jah4lyf9 жыл бұрын
+JasmineN Williams I'm talking about not twisting the attachment not your own hair. The attachment being twisted doesn't cause or prevent any tangling. You can still twist your hair to keep it protected.
@9jah4lyf9 жыл бұрын
+JasmineN Williams yep!! I like mine long though so I hold one to my scalp and use another to wrap.
@Akuadumfeh9 жыл бұрын
Makes sense. The client won't have to sit in the salon for hours. Faux locs can take a while. I would totally appreciate this as a client. Nice job.

This video was super helpful. Thank you for taking the time to inform us. Your response to those who complained about the breathing was reflective of your ability to display the emotional intelligence many lack.
@thenixonsfrombmoretotexas72089 жыл бұрын
It may be a shorter time for the client, but its not a shorter time for you... That's a lot of work...On the plus side, the client won't be in pain and their hair won't suffer from extreme tension... I do faux locs, but I do them a different way than that, I 2 strand twist the clients hair, attach the braiding hair for the desired length, and then wrap the marley hair around... it also helps reduce pain, tension, and time... they are much lighter as well...
@sabrinahunt78219 жыл бұрын

I love faux locs as well, but cannot take the time & pain, but I will definitely share this vid to her, so the next time she does this style, she'll be able to use this method. Thanks again.

this is way MORE work. u have to pretwists and wrap the locs, then your have to twist the clients whole head, then attach and rewrap them once on the head. did i miss something? how is this faster than just twisting the clients hair then wrapping it?
@tenieciar77159 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. unless I can just attach it to my hair without twisting it first.
@LizeOkoh9 жыл бұрын
+Tahani Tompkins I think this only works if you're going to get this done for you at the salon then you don't have to do all that initial work, just sit for the 3 hours, but if you're doing it yourself then this is obviously more work.

I've never heard of another woman named Berry before. My cousin's name is Barri too, so it's nice to see another female with that name. This was a great tutorial. I understand how some people would think that it was more time consuming but I guess it just depends on the individual's patience and what they consider to be long. But if this take 2-3 hours to do, hell I would be willing to try it. I do my own Senegalese twists and it take a couple days to finish just depending on how big or small I do them. So I'm looking for something else I can do that won't take that long. Thanks for the video!
