To me, a bullet journal just feels like the freedom to create a planning system and organizational tool that works for you. You can look up tons of 'how to bullet journal' videos on bullet journal TikTok and get overwhelmed by super artsy and aesthetic bullet journal ideas and spread, but really - your bullet journaling style is special and personal to you. Add stickers, create habit trackers, set up a timeline time tracker every day, or literally just stick to the bullet points. At the end of your year, when you do a bullet journal flip through, you'll have the opportunity to recap a year of progress and possibilities. A 'boring' minimalist bullet journal can be just as effective and helpful as an insta-worthy spread. You do you! This works for me.

Physical journals for sure! They act like treasures of wisdom and they don't get forgotten or corrupted like online / digital ones. I do like Google tasks, calendar and scheduled emails when it comes to reminding myself about the things I ought to do. Your journal creation is awesome. The tips to draw the boxes are so helpful, even for students who can use the skills for their studies in math, geometry or artists for their drawings! I’m so kinesthetic that I literally remember the act of writing it down and where it was on the page, even more than the thing itself. So when I’m out and about someone will ask - hey are you free on Friday? And I’ll literally say - not sure, I’ll get back to you. Have to check my bullet journal because I know I wrote something down for that day. Bonkers. My husband is all auditory. Tell him something once and it’s just stuck there. But I love your emotional heart idea, too. That’s much more special!

I actually very much need both. For being in the moment and not losing info that I just found, I need my bullet journal. It's where I can find focus in the day. However, I've been bullet journaling for 6 years and have gone through several notebooks. Migration sometimes takes too much time and energy, so I use Notion as a digital planner for my long term needs and to easily process and organize stuff that started out digitally in the first place. After trying several physical planners and productivity apps, I realized that bullet journaling and Notion are the team that work best for me.

Physical! I use digital but as a book lover, I doubt I can abandon the feel of pages and reading through them. I am one of the last in my group of friends who still uses a paper diary 😘

Digital but, funny enough, only if it's on my laptop. Phone organizers do absolutely nothing for me. I ignore every alarm I set😂 And I tend to get too caught up in the aesthetics of physical planners for them to do me much good. I just found your channel, by the way, and am loving your content. I've been freelancing for almost a year at this point and am getting ready to scale up, so your channel is a great way for me to de-stress at the end of the day!

Oh gooooood! And I totally agree but backwards. If an alarm goes off on my watch or laptop, I just immediately turn it off. Phone alarms, however, do the trick.

Cool! I also find writing stuff out seems more salient and is more likely to get done. I like writing out lists and I write everything out faster than I can type. I've tried electronic stuff, starting with the Palm but keep going back to paper. I have Google calendar, but find I only check that once a week

Physical for sure. I will ignore the crap out of digital planning, even with alarms. Lol I've always used a notebook. I just finished my first year of bullet journaling, and it has REALLY organized my brain and notebook habits. I loved seeing how you organize your bullet journal!

SAME. Alarms are just interruptions for whatever I was already going to do haha Glad you liked it! I forgot to say in the video, but I think this is year 8 of bullet journaling in general and probably year 5 since I figured out this particular layout works well for me and I’ve been refining it. I have all my old journals in the shelves behind me but didn’t even think to dig them out! (I was in a pre-Christmas party panic while filming haha)

I guess I would have to lean more towards the digital over physical. First, it seems less time consuming, and I can be lazy. Second, my penmanship is just atrocious and I even hate looking at it sometimes. No matter how hard I try, I just can’t seem to improve it. I’m about 1,000+ orders completed on Fiverr, and I was reminded today of why to always listen to red flags. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Had a cancelled order. Cancelled orders really hurt my confidence until I get validation from other buyers. How do you combat that?

Same same same same same. I just have a teeny tiny box for my artsy stuff. If it doesn’t fit in the box, something gets chucked. No clutter!!
