I’m experiencing this exactly. Just recently started working on picking techniques , grip, angle etc… I focus so much on this now it almost seems worse.

What advice would you have for a player that has gone too deep with analyzing picking? I've tried so many different things that my pick grip and hand placement on the guitar never feels right anymore and this is after 5 years of playing. Hand placement in particular against the bridge, I've just lost it man!

Be careful to not go down that rabbit hole. Practicing the mechanics over and over will give you far better results!
