It feels as if it is attached stiff. I did the ballerina and the one of lifting the hip with one foot up towards the ceiling they both HELPED ALOT😀😀

Well for those who aren't aware iliopsoas bursitis is hellsh pain when standing and walking. I have pain from my back tracking through deep abdomen into the groin/upper inner thigh and down the medial thigh to the knee. It has sidelined me for almost 3 1/2 years. Cortisone injections have helped a little, I am going g to try Shockwave therapy this week. Living with pain has sucked the joy out of life.

I'm very glad I found this video! About 2 weeks ago I had my Covid booster in my left upper arm. Lots of joint pain over the next couple of days. Then it settled into my hip joint for nearly a week. Now my Iliopsoas muscle(s) on the left are affected and I'm limping around the house. This is very bizarre, and I've not had any kind of injury. NSAIDs, heat, cold - nothing helps, so I searched and found your video. I'll start in the morning!

One of the best examples that subtle, smart movements instead of overly dynamic, are best. I think that is a missing component in yoga. Lots of joint injury and reinjury risk in many yoga poses.

This is a great explanation and just doing a few stretches helped me figure out what was causing this sudden soreness. Its such a deep muscle it's hard to point to exactly where it hurts. I am confident this is going to fix the problem. Your strengthening exercises should help prevent a recurrence, too

Oh my God, I had pain in my left glute and hamstring. My piriformis muscle would swell up sometimes. I would feel radiating pain in my legt hamsteing during walk. Now i did your exercises just to check and it confirmed. I can feel the pain down to my left heel.

Hi, thanks a lot for your video's, after 17 years of troubles i recently found out that my SI join was out of the socket. Your video's are helping me to recover! But every bone in my hips/back etc. is misplaced, so i stil have a looong way to go, but at least since the moment it popped back in place i can walk normally without weird muscle feelings. Now i need to try to release all the cramped up muscles one by one, bit by bit.. and i think you know that your video's are great for that. Greetings from the Netherlands!

Thank you doctor, that was really helpful combined with the upper back exercise that you have shown in the last video. Most of the problems related to the torso, got solved immediately. Got a very good stretch and was very nice, easy and gentle stretch.

Thanks so much. I needed these stretches. While doing the 90/90 position and extending the arm across the body, that was a bit challenging because I got very tight lats. Also, (unrelated) I have a weak VMO, and that impacts the patellar and cause pain in the back of the leg.

Will these help relieve stress? I've had extreme anxiety and over the last 6 weeks I've had ED, digestive issues, lower back pain and hip pain at the front. I've read different things saying that the psoas muscle contracts under stress and can then contribute to symptoms I've been experiencing. I'd really appreciate any words of wisdom from anyone. Yes! My Psoas pain went away eventually. But it took some experimenting to see what actually worked and what did not.

Hi, thanks for the exercises - I stained my back / groin a couple of weeks ago and it's still pretty painful. I can only do the 1st exersize, without the kneeling foot raised. I am aware this 'tightness' is a very long term issue - when I try to do any stretches to the front thigh groin area, the back of my thigh goes into cramp - can be quite sever and leave it feeling bruised for a day or so. As soon as I tried the one lifting the pelvis off the floor ... the back of the thigh started to cramp. I will continue with the mini version of the 1st stretch ... but as a long term issues I have not dealt with due to cramping ... do you have any other recommendations?

Hey Doc, I’m a soccer player and I recently have had some ongoing problems where I thought I had some sort of hip impingement, turns out it was not that excessive but the Psoas muscles on both sides have been overused. I can’t stop training/playing because of the team, but I feel like one week it’ll be fix then the next week it’s pain all over again. Do you think that I should focus on more strengthening or stretching?

Can this muscle mimic pelvis pain like ovarian cysts or bowel pain? And located bloat. Mri showed nothing wrong so I'm thinking it might be my muscles. Also all abdominals are tight. I feel it might be a stuck nerve or injured abdominal muscle. The tightness of my right ilipsoas and abdominal muscle is insane

I am experiencing the same symptoms, I’ve tried diet changes, and trying to get in for an ultrasound to rule out ovarian cysts/cancer etc. however it does feel like muscle tightness in the lower abdomen and lower back and also around hips. Have you been able to figure out what’s causing this?

@@alyshawatier8568 I haven't yet. It's frustrating. I'm leaning towards worsening of my (severe) endometriosis, including bowel issues or a muscle or nerve issue. As you mentioned. I had an mri which kindsma failed cause imaging wasn't clear enough so have to go in again at some point. But still haven't figured it out. It's aweful. I hope you're doing ok

If I figure out anything more I'll definitely keep you posted as I am also experiencing the bloat, and gastro-intestinal symptoms as well as the muscle tightness like you mentioned, which is why I tried diet changes. I've never looked into the endometriosis route I might explore this option if ultrasound comes back inconclusive. Anyways, wishing you all the best, I hope you figure this out soon!
