Regarding your anxiety comment about not having a home base, trust me, you'll be fine. We sold up house and everything and moved aboard a narrowboat. You simply forget your old life/home etc and quickly adapt to mobile life.

We are very excited! What did you find hardest about the adjustment? It's going to be a great adventure - I adapt well to change as I've lived in loads of places, Joe is the one who's never left London! - Jodie 🌸

Great tutorial and instructions. I'm planning to do the same insulation with PIR boards! :) I have a question. How did you guys fit panels in the upper section of the wall since there are also some van ribs? Thanks in advance :)
@JodieandJoe4 ай бұрын
We pressed the foam into the ribs to get an indent then carved out the area. We also used the silver tap on the part we cut out to keep it as a vapour barrier

@@JodieandJoe I assumed it was something like that. Thank you very much, have a nice day :)

That stick like s*it stuff they do one in a black tube which is a bit more expensive but really does do the job so much so that you wont need to prop anything up while it goes off

The white foam has low r value the pink foam is denser and insulates better

Ah that's a shame we didn't know that

Hi, great video. Do you find the van has any creaks from the boards?
@JodieandJoe11 ай бұрын
None at all, the only thing that creaks are the front seats

I know wild camping up in the air at mo but you paid road tax so stuff the nosey parkers.

Hmm, I understand the notion but unfortunately road tax doesn’t actually exist. We don’t pay to use the roads.

Is it just me BUT Joe's cutting upwards towards his femoral artery seems seriously dangerous. Bleed out time from severing that is just a few minutes. And even if Jodie is a qualified nurse/doctor saving someone cut like is tough wihout the gear to hand. The first rule of knife safety is always to cut away from your body or from another person. Always. And this isn't an urban myth. Can't believe I would be the first to say this on this thread but am so horrified. I watch your videos from the warmth between you two. As has been said by many, watching amateurs van build as teaching tools is only going to lead to problems.

This guy is totally right do not copy what we do! This is in no way a teaching channel - we have no idea what we are doing! 😂
