But I'm a chef and sweat a lot in the kitchen so it comes undone after a couple of weeks. I've been interested in learning how to interlock for a while to maintain my roots without weakening the hair but have not found much helpful info on it. Beautiful and nicely demonstrated. Wow you make retwist a breeze with this technique! I will be trying on my own locs. Bless Up!!

And I jus ordered the Imani Locing spray. This will definitely make my locs appear longer bc of this technique. I really admire how you. Walked me through every step bc I went from comb twist and now I’m palm rolling but this even looks neater. Thank you for the tutorial.

very informative video. I can prob start practicing this myself. right now I go to a person who charges me $85 to retwist and interlock my hair

Tia Rockwell yes girl. I am not spending loads on my hair. I go to salon twice a year for deep wash. I don’t trust anyone to interlock my hair. I take my time. Also I practiced on locs in the back first 🙈

Your locs look beautiful, I just learned your technique of relocing my locs..!! Thank you I will try the technique, and see how successful I am.

Great explanation on the process. I also switch between palm rolling and interlocking. When I need a really smooth look across my edges and front I will palm roll that row around my face but everything else is interlocked. Otherwise all palm or interlock. If interlocking I try to give my hair a nice break and don’t touch up for 2-3 months. Interlocking is ideal for spring/summer in Texas since there is pool time, outdoor time and exercising so I can shampoo more frequently.
@GlamNaturalLife6 жыл бұрын
Tryn2bereal yup. Lol. We would waste money and time on retwisting/palmrolling in summer time. I think giving your hair a few months in between interlocking sessions is key to maintaining healthy hair. And ppl need to know that’s the way to do it so you don’t damage your locs.

I'm a beginner and I'm hitting the 5 months mark end of month. I gotta tell ya, i am so glad to get confirmation that I have been interlocking my locs right. I've only been interlocking bcz I live in the tropics and I sweat a lot in my head but now I'm thinking to incorporate palm rolling into my regime. What do you think? And can you give me some tips on how to keep my hair moisturized?
@GlamNaturalLife6 жыл бұрын
Yes you can interchange methods. I am 1yr and seven months loc’d. I had it professionally washed and palm rolled 2 times so far. I go when I have not interlocked for about 3 months. In between interlock sessions I retwist around my finger. Would you like me to do a video on moisturizing locs

glamnaturallife great video.please do and also provide the best moisturizer for the scalp. What was your mixture in your spritz bottle
@brittianyhightower16966 жыл бұрын
Definitely do a hair mask regularly and use leave in conditioner. Nothing with beeswax or petroleum because it can cause buildup. Google some products or ingredients to use and decide what works best for you. I only do it after an apple cider vinegar rinse or swimming. I like to use avacado puree and mayo with tea tree oil and sleep in it. Then rinse it thoroughly in the morning.

So glad that I discovered your video!! I have been struggling with making retwist last in my humid and sweat-inducing state. I think that this will definitely hold up better in the summer months! And I also don't like the super clean retwist stage, so this feels more natural! Looking forward to my tool coming soon!

Thank you for this tutorial. I have very tender scalp that sweats alot when i exercise so I'm looking to try something new. Palm rolling doesn't last as long as I'd like it to. Looks easy enough for me to try it out. Thanks again.
