I did the same for Cisco 1941 router, but I didn’t use dialer interface, instead wan was leased line with static public IP. Also pppoe wasn’t required cause it was directly connected to isp provider network. Correct??

Yes, you dont need PPPoE config if your ISP modem is setup in route mode. You can only use that if your modem is setup in bridge mode. Hope it help.
