I love how the visual complexity of the finished product is really not so hard to do, but easy as I watch it manifest right before my eyes in this video. Great tutorial.

Superb video. So clear, well paced and well edited. Thank you so much. I use clipping masks a lot, but will do this as an exercise so I better understand masking.

I'm having so much fun following these tutorials! My favorite is when you say "brand new layer" :)

Wow! I found that one quite difficult but still enjoyable. I think I have a way to go with learning where to best place the elements to make the most of the intertwining. It will come with practice, no doubt. Thanks once again for a fabulous tutorial 💜

Thank you so much for this outstanding video! What lovely art you make too. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into creating this content, it really helped me to understand Procreate better. Many thanks. 🙏

Hi Teela beautiful and well explained as ever. I noticed your layer were already "named" can yo do that before you actually have layers to name?
@EveryTuesday4 жыл бұрын
It may have seemed that way with the video editing (to save time), but I name my layers as I go, not beforehand

Teela - do you use Affinity Designer at all? I use it to create seamless patterns but I'm def a beginner. If you do use it what do you see as the main benefits of using Procreate over it? PS. I don't AI - too much like a aeroplane cockpit :) TIA
@EveryTuesday4 жыл бұрын
Hey Caroline! I don't - my expertise lies in Illustrator and their iPad app is set to be released this year, so I'll be using that on the iPad vs Affinity. The main advantage of any vector software over Procreate is that vectors are infinitely rescalable (so you can change the size as much as you'd like - unlike Procreate - without worrying about image quality deteriorating or any pixelation to your artwork) 👍

Teela Cunningham affinity has an illustrator and photo apps for the iPad out now. They are limited but the vector/node drawing is much better for those of us who can’t really draw :)

You can recreate the design in another program if you'd like, but these instructions are specific to Procreate on an iPad
