Dear Kathleen, I have watched your videos and have had 18 admin interviews this summer and fall and have not made it to the second round - I feel like I have answered the questions well , but maybe I am talking too much? Can you give some advice. They usually ask 8 prescribed questions and give you 3 minutes to respond to each one - they are timed.

I have an interview for an assistant principal position. It is 30 minutes. ALL of my interviews in the education field have been over an hour. They have about 10 30-minute interview blocks in one day. What should I expect?

@@KathleenJasperEdD Thanks! I ended up not doing it and moving into the second round of interviews wahooo! I'm in a unique situation because I'm interviewing with my same school. The first round was the principal and associates, but tomorrow I'm going in with the entire A Team, 11 AP's to be more specific. If I was nervous the first round, I think I'm going to have a heart attack this second round. Do you have any specific recommendations? Are they going to ask the same things? Should I be prepared for an extra surprise?!

Very insightful! Be reflective and remember you are interviewing for entry level leadership within the district, so you need to think outside of the classroom and not give the impression that you already "know it all". Remember be honest and truthful. Don't lie or exaggerate.
