Its a term used in Japan meaning guys that stay home all day playing video games and being lazy
@faha88126 жыл бұрын
Actually a 'Hikikomori' in Japan, is someone who choose to live their life in social isolation or with very limited social interaction. It is not simply 'being lazy' and indicates an underlying problem with social integration or mental health problem. I think there are a lot of reasons for this in Japan, for example, being bullied in school, undiagnosed autism or losing social skills after developing a mental health problem. That said, a hikikomori can develop a habit of playing video games (or any other kinds of hobbies that would let them escape reality) all night to past their time and sleep during the day etc.

@Proton Pkm because we don't speak "english" in America. We speak north 'American' tho English words are a lot of the language here we also us French, much Spanish, and some Japanese, and a little islander... that mainly comprises the American dialect of dialects.

@Proton Pkm I'm Swedish and I do my best to speak in a British accent. What you said is very true. A long, long time ago when my dad was still studying, his professor was becoming more and more frustrated with the assignments he was getting from my dad. Then one day, the professor confronted my dad to apologize for not realising that he was writing in American English and not Proper English. I don't know if you can tell or not but I am quite terrible at writing, and I believe my proper English have been contaminated with some American English. Either way... I just wanted to say that you have a point, this is just a loosely written comment to solidify your statement. May you have a good day or night depending on when you read this.

i love how you thoroughly explain the construction/meaning of each sentence. i find that most vids just say that this phrase equals that phrase, making it harder for many to learn since it often promotes memorization rather than actually understanding how the words/phrases come together to give their meaning!

I’m watching Japanese movies and can understand at least 1 to 2% but I catch all the particles most of the time. Have not had a conversation with any one yet sadly. But I have sorta talked in a monster hunter game recently. But kanji kills me. I know like 20 kanji. Thanks for this lesson.

すみません, I would like to thank Misa-sama for the amazing lessons. It may not be my place but since Misa-sama has helped me improve my Japanese I thought I could return the favour by noting that Misa-sama often (if not always) pronounces the word 'if' with a H sound. That, of course, must be due to the lack of a strong F sound in Japanese, especially next to a palatal Y (as in 'if you'), so one wouldn't normally address that but since Misa-sama is ever so good as to warn for potential mistakes I would like to humbly ask Misa-sama to consider the phonology of the English language. すみません、ありがとうございました!
