Invest in gold by simply buying gold. Go to a trusted gold store/dealer and buy coins and bars. Buying gold/silver must be done in person and not online due to riba. Gold is a long term store of wealth so it will take a few years but it will keep up or even beat inflation. Sell gold by going to a trusted gold store/dealer. Usually it will sell a bit less for spot price (price per ounce)

Gold is always safe because it never loses value, by the time the get old the will actually benfit very well from it. I can say if you want to buy Gold, you should buy bars of gold. 1 oz is good and higher is expensive but better.

Aren't Public listed companies not considered Islamic? The partners / shareholders are not partners in the Islamic sense. In a public listed company a partner can join and leave with out the consent of the other partners. This isnt shariah compliant
