very clear explanation 👍 how about portfolio turnover? do you think it’s impt to consider that when selecting an ETF?
@TheFifthPersonChannel3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, portfolio turnover is a consideration more so for active ETFs than passive ones -- which we mainly cover in this discussion.

Great video n content, would like to start investing in SG EFT but a newbie , can share insight which platform to use? is it a good idea using bank or still interactive brokers is a good choice for DCA. Many thanks

Interactive Brokers. It is low cost and gives you the flexibility to expand into other markets in the future if you ever choose to!

So it's wise to use a robo adviser because I dont even know how to choose an ETF? Any video explained the use of robo adviser and which is good to use in Spore ? Im considering syfe recently
@TheFifthPersonChannel3 жыл бұрын
Hi Elynn, you can consider a robo advisor if you prefer. Similar to ETFs, you can pick a low-cost fund from a reputable robo advisor that fits your investment goals and risk profile.

Do all components of an ETF have to be publicly traded? In other words, can ETF's invest in privately held companies as a partner?
@TheFifthPersonChannel3 жыл бұрын
If a company’s shares aren’t freely traded on the market then it cannot be part of an ETF or mutual fund. However, there are are ETFs that are composed of listed companies that are active in the private equity space: etfdb.com/etfs/industry/private-equity/

Thanks...great content. Would active or passive ETFs be a consideration? Notice that Cathy Woods of Ark Invest regularly does portfolio review and position sizing.
@TheFifthPersonChannel3 жыл бұрын
Yes. If you're going with an active ETF, then the track record and performance of the fund manager needs to be considered, and whether you believe they can continue to perform moving forward.
