Hi Akshat, Request your views on: Buying an IPO for Listing gains - taking in to account c the little probability of getting it in the first place - as per market hype - general perceptions (which could also be manipulated by stake holder of OFS) V/S Buying for Long term holding - considering intial IPO price v/s price discovery which could go high/low both - being invested for long term gains with confidence in business, which could be executed at any stage (without much consideration to lottery based IPO allotment)

Promoters have made their money, unless you plan to join Nykaa as a C level Executive and turn the business around, don't invest any further. I would have booked losses last year itself and recovered it elsewhere by now. Even if you would've bought the IT index or Nifty 50 after losing money in IPO, you could've recovered most if not all.

Akshat, just a reminder - please be careful around promoting and marketing derivates to common people. There is a reason why these instruments are considered highly risky, not because of the underlying risk of monetary loss itself BUT also because general public DOES NOT understand the concept of risk in general until they blow their accounts in fear and/or greed. You can promote it as "hedging purposes" but do you think that takes away the inherent risk of loss of capital? Public will NOT listen to your "hedging purposes" argument if they lose their money. Regulations are still loose around the content finfluencers produce and distribute to general public and I strongly advocate SEBI to bring such regulations to protect retail people.
