A major correction to protect other people from the frustration I had today. They are not offering course in English and they have quite arrogant representatives to explain that they only host Dutch courses by choice. On 16:45 of this video is stated that English classes are possible. Well is May 2021 6 months after the video was published and still no plan for English support from their side, this is official.
@MakingitinHolland3 жыл бұрын
Hey Nikos, sorry about your experience. At the time of our recording Real Estate Masterclass was planning on offering English support - but then circumstances changed. I’ll update the video description and clarify things in a pinned comment.

Thank you for such detailed video! You work is helping many. Kudos! I have a question. I worked in Netherlands last year for an year and came back to my country as my work contract ended. But I still have my bank account open with ABN in Netherlands with money lying dormant. Would you be able to help me know if it's possible to invest that money in Netherlands? If no, will I be taxed if I keep my account open with ABN? OR should I transfer my money back to my country?
@MakingitinHolland3 жыл бұрын
Hey there, if you've moved away from the Netherlands with no plan to come back I would call ABN Amro bank and ask them what's the best thing to do. Everything depends on how much money you have left in the bank account. They would better advise you.

Can you buy real estate in the Netherlands and give it for rent if you do not have citizenship and if so - are the taxes higher and what are the overall downsides of it? Thank you in advance for the response!

[UPDATE]: Real Estate Masterclass is currently only being offered in the Dutch language. The English course is not on offer. Apologies for the inconvenience to all my English speaking subscribers. If you have any questions ask me in this thread and I’ll do my best to get you answers. Thank you! What are your questions about real estate investing in the Netherlands?

Can you replace a tenant/increase rent freely in the Netherlands?
@MakingitinHolland3 жыл бұрын
You cannot increase rent at will, there’s always some regulations around that. Also tenants get certain rights too so you can’t just evict people out of their homes. Check out one of my latest videos about buying vs. renting a house in the Netherlands for more insight.

@MakingitinHolland3 жыл бұрын
Hey Batu, it may be worth it considering you don't just get a course but really hands-on help with getting your first investment property. If you think about it from the perspective of a real estate investor, spending 2000 euros getting you a deal that can save you 50,000 euro or more is definitely something to consider. With all of that said, of course if you really wanted you could research all the information (most are in Dutch) on your own & get started that way. I hope this is helpful.

What if you plan to sell your apartment after buying, or to turn it in to se sort of guedt house, then to buy in the center more preferable, right?
Hi I heard that there is a restriction now in Amsterdam on renting apartments through AirBNB for up to 2 months of the year only, and in some areas a ban on renting on AirBNB. How did it affect apartment prices in Amsterdam? Thank you
@MakingitinHolland4 жыл бұрын
Hey Gabi, yes there are new rules around AirBNB rentals unfortunately. However you can of course still rent your investment properties for longer term tenants. The apartment prices in Amsterdam are still quite high but every now and then with careful inspections you can score some great deals.
